My first DA character was a female noble warrior. I was sort of trying to go with a Xena thing originally lol. So what was yours? And is your original character cannon to your game or did you create another one that you enjoyed better? Also, will you try to recreate him or her in DAI?
What was your first DA character?

Since this is the DAI forums, I'll provide a list of the characters whose saves will carry over.
DAO: Leyran, an elven male mage.
DA2: Abigail Hawke, a human (obviously) female mage
DAI: In all likelihood, a female elf mage.

My first Warden was a city elf named Rhea who never made it to import. I can't even remember what choices she made.

My first DA character was a female dalish rogue (my profile picture). I wont recreate her for DAI because her story is over, but if we get a character creation thing in a demo then I may do it just to see what she would look like. maybe in a side-playthrough I'll make her

Female Dalish elf rogue.
I created her on my husband's XBL profile (I didn't have one at the time). I think the files got corrupted or lost at some point, because I can't seem to find them now. It's too bad, because she was super cute.

I never finished my first character. He was a human rogue but I leveled up all the wrong attributes and used the wrong weapons. I didn't really understand how the game is played back then. After I realised that that character was terrible, I created a human mage that turned out ok. After that, I just made other characters to experiment with different outcomes.
In dragon age 2, my first character was a diplomatic male hawke, but I didn't really like him. When I finished that playthrough, I did another as a sarcastic female hawke, using the default appearance, and I liked it a lot.
I have created other characters to experiment with different outcomes, but I am importing a human mage from origins and a sarcastic FemHawke from DA2 into DA:I.
I figure if a mage saved everyone from the blight, they will have more respect in inquisition and a mage-templar alliance could be negotiated easier.
Sorry if I rambled on a bit

DA:O
Male Human Mage (Arcane Warrior and Spirit Healer). Bit of douche, but a least a pragmatic and resourceful douche. Romanced Zevran, but did the Dark Ritual. Best buds with Sten, Alistair (who left him when he decided Loghain would be more useful alive) and Morrigan.
DA2
Male Rogue (Archer - Duelist and Assassin). Aggressive, forceful, sprinkled with a few bits of snarkiness. Romanced Merril, sided with Anders and Orsino. His buddy Fenris left him.
DA:I
Most likely a Warrior, but not sure what race. Probably end up Human, or maybe Elf. Will save a Dwarf for my second playthrough.

My first was a male elf mage named Roderick Surana (though I played DA:O before Jade Empire and then kind of regretted the name) I read the descriptions of each race and class and specifically chose the two most downtrodden/hated groups lol. Sadly my first like....9? playthroughs got deleted so I could play more characters (stupid arbitrary cap!) but then I figured out that I could make more xbox profiles and have more characters
He was a goody-two shoes with a sense of humor, romanced Zevran, and made the US in the end. R.I.P my deleted friend!

Female City Elf Rogue. I eventually went for a Buffy theme of this petite blonde girl out-fighting people way bigger than her, wielding two stakes--I mean, daggers. She also romanced Alistair and became part of a battle couple not unlike Buffy and Riley. (I know Alistair is more like Xander in personality, but he's build like Riley, and she like Buffy.)
While I don't want to repeat the Buffy motif, I definitely loved roleplaying this petite city elven girl that commanded the respect of larger, taller human nobles and warriors. Walking into the Landsmeet to finally demand the attention of human nobles after a lifetime of being dismissed and ignored under their boots was a *glorious* feeling, and one I would like to have again. (Especially since our job this game will be to root out corruption among many world leaders.)

I have two carry overs from DA:O that I switched between in DA2 & Awakenings- human fem mage and human fem noble (Queen of course)- DA2 I will use three- one sarcastic fem mage, one violent fem rogue, and one diplomatic fem rogue. First DA character rogue city elf didn' t carry her over.

I would say he was the same character as the one I'm playing now, but he's changed a lot in my various playthroughs over the years.
<---That's Valadras, a City Elf. My first and main Warden. He used to have blonde hair and green eyes, instead of red and red
In one playthrough he had a scar, in another it was replaced by a tattoo. Eventually he changed from a blonde, altruistic and naive berzerker into the arrogant dark-haired anti-hero pragmatic Reaver that you see in my avatar now.
The character's changed and grown almost as much as I have over the last few years. He used to romance Leliana too, now it's all about Morrigan XD
And no, I won't be trying to recreate him in DA:I. In my mind, my Warden's still alive and kicking in DA:I unless the story reveals otherwise. I feel like my character in DA:I needs to be someone new and different. I'll never make someone as cool as my Warden by trying to immitate him.

My first Warden was a Male Nobleman Rogue named Seth, who ended up in full platemail, backstabbing things like crazy.
I still have the save to use as an import... If I should ever desire to do so.
DA:O was awesome! Rogue tanks!

My first Warden is my avatar, a male human noble dual wielding warrior. He's my "canon" import given this is the character I went in blind with (unlike my later Wardens who had a better idea what the consequences of their actions will be). Hawke and the Inquistor will have to deal with his mistakes.
Edit: And my canon Hawke is a male SnarkHawke rogue
