My second character was a female human noble who married Alistair and became queen. That's the one I carried forward, but I wish I still had my first character so that I could do Witch Hunt and travel with Morrigan.

First DA:O character I created on my own xbox was a male Dalish rogue. He also romanced Zevran. He is not considered canon because I still didn't understand what "persuasion" meant and thus was unable to persuade Alistair to sleep with Morrigan, so I had to do it.
First DA2 character was a male DW rogue; he was, again, blond and manly lol He romanced Fenris. Diplomatic. The rock of his family, etc. I'm still very fond of him. He may be an import. Unfortunately, I managed to miss picking up Isabela in this playthrough. However, I DID manage to go back a year later to an old save and pick her up, and re-complete the game.

DA2 - male sarcastic Hawke, a Force Mage with a preference for elemental spells.
Will probably start DAI as another Elven mage.

So in the end I didn't do the dark ritual , thinking meh what's the worst that could happen?
I don't have that save anymore I think , I just recreate the same character and played again with less fail .(Something I do with every dragon age , my first playthrough are always a disaster ...and my LI always dies ,I had to put down Fenris who hated me in DA2...)

DA2: Male 2h Warrior.
No clue why. I wouldn't even say 2h warrior is my favorite play style. lol All I remember before DA: O came out is thinking I wanted to be a noble and dwarves were too short. lol (I latter got over my aversion to dwarves)

DAO: female archer rogue Dalish Elf named Salya.
DAII: female archer rogue named Scarlett
And I'll continue in a similar vein; a female archer rogue flagship character of some sort. It's a tradition thing.

Actually Regalyan D'Marcall from Dawn of the Seeker kind of looked like him, except the Warden had the blue tattoo around his eye.

My first DA character was a female noble warrior. I was sort of trying to go with a Xena thing originally lol. So what was yours? And is your original character cannon to your game or did you create another one that you enjoyed better? Also, will you try to recreate him or her in DAI?
I bought the game on a Amazon sale brand new. I hadn't even heard of the game before. In fact, its name Origins made me think it was a prequel to something I'd never heard of. So I look into it and find out it's the first in a series and I'm happy.
Bought it entirely because BioWare's name was on the cover.
I started a noble male Cousland who was a rogue. I petered around for a while. Got to the Dalish camp (I can't tell you why I decided to go after elves first). I loved the idea of werewolf plagues. I enjoyed the game well enough. Then Zevran attacked.
All the companions hated me. Even Alistair and I didn't particularly like him either. Although I did have sex with Morrigan like right out of Lothering which I found hilarious and kind of awesome (we can hook up without having it be done at the very end of the game?!).
Something about how everyone disagreed with me sparing Zevran made me restart the game.
This led to the Dwarf commoner who was a mob enforcer and gave precisely no ****s about anyone other than himself. He was a warrior. He fought hard. He killed mighty things. And in the end he decided to give his life to save a world he was never a part of.
I consider the dwarf to be my "first" character in the manner that I bonded with that guy much more than the Cousland. I also was able to roleplay more with the dwarf. I don't know why but I can't ever get inside the Cousland's heads. Although I did once "kinda marry" Anora just to see what that would be like. But that was more of a checklist thing and not a roleplaying experience.
I still love the dwarf commoner origin. It's my favorite in the game.

DA II = Sarcastic/charming female Rogue Hawke
I also did a sarcastic FemMage run in DA2 for variation.

I went with the sword & board as well.

So, while in Lousianna for three weeks by myself for work....I discovered that I could by the game ONLINE for my work laptop! (since none of the stores had a hardcopy available). I've been hooked on playing on PC ever since.
Second character was also a female City Elf Female Rogue, her I consider my cannon, and my 'first' character. That was a great Origin.
I have such fond memories of DA:O.....it was the game that really got me hooked on gaming.

Anyways, you know how it is when you invest that much in crafting a PC; by the time I had finally slice 'n' diced poor Aeva into my ideal uber-elf, we'd been through so much together I felt a bit obliged to make her my canon.
I have played through the mage and human noble origins, and tried the casteless dwarf origin too, but have only completed the game properly with Aeva. Think I almost always go rogue because I have this obsessive-compulsive need to pick every bloody lock in Thedas, and an irrational fear of lock-bash (what if I inadvertently destroy something awesome...?)!

Can't recall which of my elves came first (City or Dalish), since I created them back-to-back and alternated playing through their origins. The one I stuck with - my canon Warden, so to speak - was Aeva, the Dalish. I spent literally hours tweaking the poor creature's face until I finally got her right:

Very well done. That's probably the most attractive female Elf player character I've seen.

He was bald and looked about 60. He also romanced Morrigan, which threw my suspension of disbelief way off.
Originally I was going for a Gorion kind of character, but this was before I learnt that A) the game treats your character like a child a lot of the time, especially in the mage origin, and
After it was finished I wrote the entire playthough off as a learning experience and deleted it since at no point was he the character I'd wanted him to be.
