Very well done. That's probably the most attractive female Elf player character I've seen.

Aw - thank you!  ^_^  Must admit, I did love her wee nose (as well I should - it took bloody ages to get right). :P  Was so chuffed with her in the end, I got a bit carried away with storyboarding screenshots and started a whole new obsession.

My first DA character was a female city elf, because I liked the backstory.
I finished the game with her and let her do the ultimate sacrifice.
Frankly, I didn't enjoy that character as much as I'd hoped. It was almost boring.

So I switched to a male human mage to romance Morrigan and found that the story gave male player characters much more opportunities I enjoyed.
But it still wasn't perfect.

I eventually found my perfect playthrough with a goody-two-shoes human male noble who didn't romance any of his companions, married Anora, sided with Loghain and did the dark ritual.

I played a female Dalish. I loved the rouge class. I have only 2 finished games being a mage (both human male who romanced Morrigan and only 1 did the DR)

The next race I did was Human Noble who became Queen.

For DA:I I will most likely play a rouge and later a mage. Elf then later on a human.

I generally base my first characters on what I would do, then get into the serious role playing on the second playthrough. Does anyone else do this?

An elf mage with a horrifically gaunt face. I dumped everything into primal and literally facerolled through the game for the first time. :P

I do that as well! Feels more immersive.

My very first character in Origins was a female human noble, warrior. In Dragon Age 2 it was a female rogue. Things sure have changed since then, now it's all mage!

My first attempt at DAO was an elven mage. I did not like mage combat and I stopped mid Ostagar.
I restarted with a Dalish dual wield warrior, named Feratrill, who aligned with chaotic good (seen in avatar), and loved her. She romanced Alistair and had him do the dark ritual.
My Hawke was a female warrior named Arriane. She was a very sarcastic, angry person. She ended up romancing Anders and siding with the mages.

See, that never works for me.

"Hey, join the Grey Wardens!"
"Uh...nah, I'm just gonna keep being lazy all day. But thanks." *scratches belly*

"Maybe we should talk to that guy over there."
"Wait, you mean me? Like, just go and talk to him? Just like that? B-but he's a stranger. I can't talk to strangers!" *hyperventilate*

"RUN!"
"I'M TRYING." *breaks down after five steps*

So yeah, I'd rather roleplay than base a character on myself.

My first DAO character was a human noble warrior who ended up dying at the end - for which I blame Alastair. If only the lad hadn't whinged so much about co-opting Loghain, or she'd had the heart to feed him to Morrigan.

Sadly I made the mistake of buying the game on an Xbox, then tried the PC version. Now obviously there was no going back at that point, so V2.0 was a City Elf Warrior who cheerfully fed Alastair to Morrigan after applying a heavily armoured boot to his backside at every opportunity. There is after all nothing wrong with holding a grudge against a computer game character.

But as for the original playthrough, because it was on the Xbox it fell by the wayside, and all DLC, expansions and imports into DA2 came from that second playthrough.

<---This guy.  Keth Surana.  My canon Warden.  :wizard:

I based his appearance and his name after one of my old original characters.  Just narrowed his features to make him look more elfy.  Some of his unusual personality features were the result of using headcanon to explain my poor CC choices (Surely a voice set labeled "violent" isn't necessarily violent...right?  Brilliant deduction!)  and some odd dialogue choices.  So I ended up with a nice, polite, empathic elf with a touch of PTSD and/or something that resembles a personality disorder that brings out a violent and manic personality when he's in dangerous and stressful situations.  So he goes between being a cupcake to being a bloodthirsty maniac on the field. :P

The events of Awakening hardened up his personality a bit, and his lawful goodness fell into a grayer area.  Being forced to kill a bunch of starving peasants really messed him up, especially when he learned it happened because he had hesitated in dealing with the conspiracy against him.  He came to the conclusion that the only way he could prevent it from happening again, the only way he could make the Banns respect him, was to crush his political enemies with gratuitous use of lightning and fire.  His command style has been very no-nonsense since then.  But he's still a good-natured cupcake with his friends, especially if your name is Alistair.  Poor Warden forever holds an epic torch for Alistair.  Alistair was the main reason he agreed to the Dark Ritual despite his huge moral reservations, because of the risk that Alistair would be the one to strike the killing blow against the Archdemon.  But eventually the Warden went to Antiva, where Zevran finally succeeded in getting into his pants. But Morrigan got there first, so there's an OGB out there somewhere, and this is still a huge concern for the Warden.

I have so much headcanon with this guy.  Jowan saved his life (from tranquility) when they were kids and they remained close after that, even as they became more of an odd pair as they grew older.  Surana developed a one-sided crush on Jowan when they were teens.  Wynne was the mentor that Surana was closest to and she had a great deal of influence on him.  He likes to cook because it was a better chore than laundry when he was an apprentice.  His grandfather is a Dalish Keeper, and is still alive.  His father was a self-exiled Dalish and his mother was a City Elf, and neither are still alive.  His father wanted to incite the City Elves to rise up against the humans, and died in a riot of his own making.  The first time Surana's magic manifested, he was six years old, and he killed the thief who murdered his mother in front of him.  He's Andrastian, but he became more interested in Dalish beliefs and traditions over the years, resulting in a personal hodgepodge belief.  Due to this, Velanna chewed him out repeatedly for being the worst elf ever.  Etc...

I never expected to get so attached to him.  There were times when I just wanted him to shut up about ladders already.
I'm certainly hoping I'll get to recreate him in DA:I for a Warden appearance.  :wizard:  But even if the Warden doesn't appear, I might try remaking him anyway at some point.

In Dragon Age: Origins, I was a Male Dalish Elf, Rouge (Archer) by the name of Dante Mahariel.
In Dragon Age 2, I was a Female Human, Warrior (Sword & Shield) by the name of Valena Hawke.

Posted ImageSo proud of my babies. Posted Image They're so bootyful. Posted ImageNo mods either. Posted Image Xbox version of both games. Posted Image

--

In Dragon Age: Inquisition, I'm at a loss.
I was planning on being a Male Human Mage up until I found out that we can choose a race again.
THANK THE MAKER.
So, at this point I will be a Male Elven Mage, either a Blood Mage or a Spirit Healer, by the name of Severan
He's my first choice.
If I change my mind I will probably be either a Male Dwarven Warrior (Two-Handed) by the name of Kostas.
Or a Female Dwarven Rogue (Daggers) by the name of Aubriel.

So.. is it Fall 2014 yet? Cuz I can't wait to get my hands on this character creator. Posted Image

DAO:Female dalish warrior, it was amazin to hear leliana speak of elves since then I was in love with the dalish and city elves.

But of all the origens to me the most beautiful and rewarding feeling was the Human noble story, killing Howe was full feeling experience, somehting like:"ok now i can die". lol

DA2: Played Femrogue first to check Bethany is was hard to play with carven after that, I like to play as Mage hawke more tho.

DAO: Male Human Noble, Two-Handed Warrior. Straightforward heroic character.
DA2: Male Knife Rogue. 'Chuckles' personality.
DAI: Probably a male human mage. Similar to 'Chuckles' if I can.

Wow. I think I might be the first person to have actually started with a dwarf as my first character. I made a male dwarven noble sword and shield warrior for my first playthrough. Then, I made a male human noble warrior and male human mage before settling on my female dwarven noble warrior for my "canon" character.

Of course, since then, I've also done a female dwarven commoner rogue, female city elf rogue, and male dalish elf ranger. And those are just the ones that I've finished with. And I just started a new game yesterday because the gameinformer article got me jazzed up again. Wow, I've really played this game too much......

My first Warden was a sassy female City Elf DW rogue. I stumbled into accidentally picking most of the 'happiest' solutions for the main quests (convincing Zathrian to end the curse, retrieving the CoM for Connor, etc.) and I didn't put romanced squishy Alistair on the throne because I didn't really have a problem with Anora (never gave her away or expressed any intention to put Alistair on the throne so she never 'betrayed' me) and he didn't want it (or really seem ready for it, in my opinion) so that was all good. No breakups, very little drama. Then came the Dark Ritual... I liked Morrigan a lot, even in that first playthrough, but it sounded super dodgy to me, and I felt that it would to my rogue as well... so she turned it down. She came to terms with the fact that she was going to die. Needless to say, they got to the Archdemon and Alistair threw himself at it! Did not see that coming! I think I just didn't consider that the game would go there? Broke my little elf's heart, anyway. (I may have been a little torn up about it myself. A little.)

That was my first warden. =]

tl;dr: Female city elf DW rogue.

I always try to make a character similar to myself for the my first play throughs, so I played as a female, human warrior who romanced Alistair first. It was a good thing that I had a lot of saves because my first time I accidentally killed Alistair (why can't we all get along?!) and Morrigan left my party (I didn't want her sleeping with my man! lol). I ended the game with killing Loghain and Alistair sleeping with Morrigan.

The second time, which I consider my canon, was a male Cousland who romanced Morrigan and had the OGB with her. This is the save file that I transferred to my DA2 file, and the one that I plan to transfer to DAI. I'll probably go back and transfer my first file, but I'm more invested and interested in my male warden's story atm.

For DAI, I'll probably play as a female rogue, transferring my male warden, with female hawke (rogue) profiles.

Female city elf rogue, I was reading about the Origins and got really excited for the City Elf one. It's my first and favorite.

<<<<<<<<<Her first design was similar to this, but uglier, and on the PC version her hair is in a long ponytail.
