For DAO my first characer was a female elf mage who was a spirit healer. I've have several playthroughs with the same character. She's my canon character.

For DA2 my first playthrough was a male mage. My canon is a sarcastic male warrior.

For DAI, now that I can play as a dwarf, I'll most likely play a dwarf rogue first. Don't know if I'll play male or female yet but, it'll be my canon character.

My very first character was some female human mage whose name I can't even remember, cause I got bored of playing her after Redcliffe.

My first character that I really enjoyed playing and as whom I completet the game first was a female noble dwarf warrior called Dharuna Aeducan.

But as much as I still love her, my main import warden will be my male elven mage Adain Surana. I'm eager to see how his romance with Morrigan will affect DA:I. ^^

That means my DA2 redhead mage Garret "Sexy" Hawke will be my import from that game. ; P

My first character are never anymore than an avatar since I use them to experience and discover what the role play limit of the game is.

They are always female and mage though.

First DAO character was a human male mage.  First DAI character will not be a recreation of that character but will again probably be a male mage, either human or elf.

Specializations could always change my mind on first class to be play in DAI, though.

My very first was a bald human male mage called Sauron but I played like five seconds with him. Then it was Eowyn, a female city elf warrior with an attitude who romanced Alistair. I got to like half of the game with her but when I only had Sten, Alistair and Morrigan in my party, I gave up lol. I really liked her, so maybe I should finish that playthrough? Doubtful.
First character I finished the game with was a male human noble warrior named Aaron who romanced Morrigan (but had something with Zevran and Alistair on the side via modding). I wanted to make him king in the end, but I didn't have enough coercion so he ended up teyrn of Gwaren.

No, I don't intend to recreate anyone. I already have ideas for new characters though. ^^

My first DA character was a female noble warrior. I was sort of trying to go with a Xena thing originally lol. So what was yours? And is your original character cannon to your game or did you create another one that you enjoyed better? Also, will you try to recreate him or her in DAI?

They may be turned into future BioWare's NPCs anyway.  So,what's the point?

My first was a rogue dalish elf named Gray, in DA:O.
Not very elven, yes, but that's what I always name my first characters.
She's still my baby, now, even as her file was deleted.
(I moved away from my dad and the PS3 was his. It's now mine, and I regret deleting it.)
Her story is my canon. ^_^

My first Warden wasa female city elf. The concept art fascinated me. A wedding gone violently wrong, wrong enough for a petite little elven maid to go baths!t psycho on all the guests, wielding a cake knife...

Of course, we know what the Originactually entails now...but I liked playing an underdog that is constantly underestimated. It makes for a dangerous weapon.

This is the kind of character I hope to play in DA:I; not a psycho, but a deceptively weak-appearing fade into the background kind of elf who can make all kinds of situations turn out the way she wants to when sh needs them to be.

I hope we have enough agency within the game to do this.

Elf Mage I decided I didn't really like and dumped fairly early on. Mage Origin is still about my least favourite one.

Generally in any RPG my first playthrough is a male human warrior with a noble, goody-two-shoes personality. It's a tradition. Then I play a bit of everything in subsequent playthroughs. Also, said warrior will usually have black hair and a goatee if possible.

DA:O - Jarroth Cousland, sword and shield warrior. Romanced Morrigan, made Alistair king, brought Loghain into the Grey Wardens, did the Dark Ritual. Army consisted of Templars, elves and Harrowmont's dwarves. Did not side with the architect.

DA2 - Etienne Hawke, two-handed sword warrior. Romanced Merril, sided with the mages. Diplomatic personality.

I'm thinking I might break tradition and play a female rogue first for DA:I.

<<----- Wade Tabris here, DW rogue, was my first DA character, and is my canon Warden. It would be interesting to see if an elven Inquisitor could be made to look similarly.

My first DAO character was a female city elf rogue archer. My first DA2 character was a female 2h warrior.

My canon DAO character is a female human mage/rogue hybrid (thank you console commands) and my canon DA2 character is a male mage.

Depending on the story of DAI, I may try to put one of my canon characters through for funsies but it's more likely that I'll end up with a separate canon character for DAI who, like the others, probably won't be the character I play on my first playthrough.

I pretty much always play spellcasters whenever I can, so my first character in DAO was a female Amell (human mage). Never recruited Sten, had to kill Zevran because I didn't understand the approval system, romanced Alistair and lost him, it was a mess.

Similarly with my first Hawke, again a female mage. Lost Isabela because once again I had trouble with the friendship/rivalry system, haha.

(My "main" playthrough, i.e. the one I intend to carry over to DA:I is a f!Surana (elf mage), and a female mage Hawke. I really like mages, okay?)

DAO was a male human mage, named Rince and seen in my avatar. He became a Blood Mage/Arcane Warrior, and was generally good if pragmatic.

DAII was a diplomatic female mage, who went pro-mage. I've always wanted to replace her with a sarcastic rogue, for variety's and cliché's sake, but I want Carver to be part of my story.
