if I have the power mod for my pistol II (15%) or SMG and say Mental Focuser V (12%) or Martial Biotic amp etc.. do those stack ?
so if I'm using my pistol amp 15% plus mental focus 12% does that equal +27% damage on my powers?
also if I add a consumable power amp 30% does that bring it up to 57%?
forgive me if this is stickied or common BSN knowledge, if there is a cap then I can adjust my mods accordingly
merci bocu, gracias y obrigado
whats the max melee/power bonus we can get from mods + gear

ok I did some digging through the sticky and found that shields do stack apparently up to ~195%; I don't think that damage would stack that high but I'll continue to search..

Weapon amps only give a bonus if the weapon is in your characters hands, not if on his back.
A pistol paired with a smg, both with power amps will only give one bonus at a time.
If carrying a omni-blade shotgun paired with a power amp'ed pistol for example, holding the shotgun will give a melee damage boost, but normal power damage, whilst swiching to the pistol will boost the power damage, but melee damage will drop back to normal.
Gear and consumables that boost the same thing stack.

Great they do stack I was just wondering when are diminishing returns go into affect.

I can't think of any situation where stacking something would net you diminishing returns.

Cooldowns.
Actually, arguably damage - part of the reason I often choose GI sniper when pugging is because once you can 1-shot everything except the bosses, you get huge diminishing returns on adding more damage bonuses - which means IDGAF about equipment.

Things that multiply your total damage:
- All Weapon Mods, like the Omniblades. 1.5 max from the SG-OB
- All Debuffs, like Proximine (1.2x). Debuffs from multiple sources will stack. E.g proxi+bubble+recon
- Note that these stack multiplicatively so 1.5 x 1.2 = 1.8 not 1.7.
)
Things that stack as an additive bonus to your base damage:
- All Fitness, Rage and Power tree bonuses.
- Tactical Cloak (130% max)
- Gear (20% Max)
- Amps (30% Max)
Therefor some weapon mod is pretty much a must for any serious melee gameplan.
There is no diminishing returns for melee damage. The may be some sweet spots, such as 'enough' to OHK a phantom but there is enough diversity of enemy health values in a faction that even that isn't really a big deal.

Does warp work for a melee debuff?
I know it works for powers.

Warp does not work with melee. :-(
Tangentially' I'm fairly sure that biotic melee like the human adept do not get a boost from priming effect from powers like warp. There was a thread way back about their melee that covered this. "The rise of the melee human adept" or something like that.

Works as intended.
As does sabotage, boosting melee tech attacks.

Well the warp description pretty clearly states weapon and power debuff only. Your post seems both useless and incorrect. ;-p
