Forgive me if this is dumb, but what do the icons in front of forum threads mean? The flame means what? The thread is confrontational? It's been reported? And the different colored page icons? One tan and the other white? Is that supposed to mean something?

A "hot" topic received a lot of comments / views, and the flames represent "heat". I don't recall any "tan" color for page numbering. There are a ton of informational web sites with the common internet symbols in use all neatly explained.

The "tan" or yellow icon means you haven't read the thread. A white folder means you've read the thread.
