Venus trailer.
Venus trailer.
Well it looks pretty. Still only minute and a half.
They are quite keen to keep things under wraps, even this close to launch.
The Beta didn't give me the impression the game would have a strong story like Halo, and I'm all about dat narrative, so I hope there's more to it.
I think them being as tight lipped as they are is why Destiny is getting called soulless or bland.

I couldn't care less for the narrative. The combat is what interests me.
Maybe. I think we know alot about the game at this point - one location per planet pretty much confirmed. Raids, a handful of PVP multiplayer modes, and the two other opposing factions are really what remains to be seen. I don't think it's soulless or bland, but I also don't think the vanilla version could possibly sustain itself past 2014, and that, what we're seeing with 2 expansions having already been announced, Destiny's longevity will indeed be seen through DLC. Activision, after all.
The problem is the longevity is coming from the DLC. The main game itself sounds like there is really only enough content to keep people interested for a few months. Thus why the first DLC is as early as December.
The launch trailer has been released.
I preordered it by mail to try it, I'm hoping it will come in on release date, but a day late is a possibility I'll just have to deal with.
See you all in there whenever it comes up, I suppose.

I don't want any more trailers. They make the waiting feel even longer and they're all starting to look the same. Just give me the game!!!
DLC: The Game pahahaha.Wheeeeeel in the suckers Activision.
MMO's are usually by definition plagued with DLC, I knew going into this game that it would have a DLC early and then every so often.

This isn't a MMO. I am not sure what it is, but it isn't one. 16 people per map is too small. More like a big co-op map.

MMO not exactly, but more of a Venn Diagram'd part of it.
It has things that make it not an MMO, but down to it's core, it does have some very apparent MMO qualities.
It's also the closest thing I can compare it to.

I am thinking more like Borderlands 2 style, but bigger.

You know, I almost used that as an example, but I didn't, not sure why.

Eternal shame on you now.

So excited for this game!
Destiny Raids require 6 people and will have no matchmaking system. You must form a group from your friends list.
I'm gonna have to bulk up my PS4 friends list. ![]()
Such a shame it's a console exclusive. Doesn't look too great, anyways...

Ghost ice bucket challenge accepted.
So what class is everyone running with when the game hits?
Personally Im going for Warlock Sunsinger when I hit lvl 15. I expect to be co-op Raiding a lot for this game.
Additionally if anyone join up with me some raids (on the XBox 360) my gamertag is: Brad1759
Undecided. Leaning towards Warlock but I had so much fun with Titan during the Beta that I am unsure which one to choose first.
I may go Titan since it seems Hunters weren't that great at PvP.
