If weak storytelling, repetitive combat and dull bosses are correct info, it doesn't worth more than 6/10.

My friends while playing today played through the final mission of the game. They warned me that it was the final mission, but that there wasn't anything about it I'd really be spoiled of.

Let me tell you, after watching it-I really didn't miss anything. It was bog standard, like the stuff that was in the Beta. So Gamespot's review is accurate.

As far as debuts go, Halo far outclassed Destiny. I was hoping for Bungie to hit it out of the park again.

I've been wary of this thread. But now that the veil is pulled back, I got only a few things to say.

BUNGIE, YOU SHOULD HAVE STAYED HOME. When you sold your soul to EvilVision....... I knew you would make a mediocre product. And all for some more money.... Sad. You made just a dumbed down version of HALO comp..... A derpy Warframe ripoff and a short single player (Took me 7 hours and 15 minutes.....). And you even marketed it to the highly casual Playstation 4 player base.....

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW, EH? And now..... Sierra 117 is primed for World Domination once again. While you Bungie, mire in mediocrity with EvilVision.

Oh, the irony.

I'll be playing the last and true bungie masterpiece this year on November 11th, only on ONE system.....

HALO 3..... And 4, and 2 and CE..... 100 maps, custom playlists.... Forge......

All in 1080p AND 60 frames per second........

And now..... You may rest in piece bungie.

Thanks for the memories. And Thanks for giving HALO to the world. You will be missed.

R.I.P Bungie, 2001-2014. Died Tragically on September 9th 2014 to casualitis and the "HALO Hangover".

bungie1440x900.jpg

The one and true Bungie. Will ALWAYS, be the Microsoft and HALO Bungie, all else is just noise and filler and activision shill.

Goodbye Bungie. But in the ashes of the mediocrity FPS and EvilVision Shill there is hope...... There always is.

For Spartans never die......... They're just missing in action.

Okay, I've got a 360 and a One, I love Halo, but damn if that isn't a biased post

C'mon now

Yeah, Destiny is no Halo. Yeah, Destiny is underwhelming. But does it warrant MS/Halo metaphorical "BED. NOW"?

I'm gonna be all over the MCC when it launches in November, but lets TRY not to bury Bungie in the dirt.

I refuse to like this because I'd love to play it with ya. We need to do that if you can stomach the same missions again. And again. And again.

I really don't know what the complaints are.

I just solo'd the whole game and had a blast. Can't wait to actually team up with people.

I just hope I don't get my Sparrow knifed into the cliff side again.

Especially when the game still succeed at setting up a great foundation

I wonder what Sony's thinking. Sony put so much into marketing Destiny as if it were a first party exclusive for their platform.

Nah, it's fine, I never co-op'd in Borderlands 2, and I consider that one of my favorite games of the decade. And played through the campaign with every class 3 times.

Not saying I wouldn't mind going through again and again either, it was repetitive, but you can make your own fun.

The complaints from what I've gathered are-

Ahh screw it, watch the reviews. :P They'll tell it better than I will.

I'm guility of having hopeless high expectations that I know are doomed from the start but it seems to have occured again. Some foolish part of me was hoping this might be as good as the best parts of the Halo series were, I avoided the hype and previews as is my habit but I still was expecting more from Bungie than what in fairness still seems like a good game, but not great or very memorable. To hear the story falls so far short is quite disappointing. A lot of complaints about back-tracking through levels and level design as well.

To be fair I haven't played the game myself but so far the "next gen" consoles haven't really sold me on anything.

Sometimes I'd like to take a game like this solo. Same with Halo. But with the MCC I did promise my friends we'd undertake Legendary Campaign runs through all four games.

I figure with Destiny I might end up always or nearly always playing it with company. Thats fun too. Just like the other day I watched the latest RWBY episode with a friend over Xbox Live, and we loved it. Same dude I'll be playing Destiny with, same dude who streamed his gameplay so I could watch him and other buddies tackle some missions.

With my Xbox One, even though I've enjoyed the games I've played, I can say that most of my enjoyment has come from watching Twitch streams through the app. Or rather, thats been my most consistent enjoyment(I can do this every day/every few days if I choose to). Two titles I want to point out- Titanfall and Destiny(the first I played, the second I will play soon) seem to have had the same problems.

My stepbrothers with PS4s have complaints about no games out at the moment that they care about, but they're hyped for later ones(Arkham, Phantom Pain, etc etc).

Like every gaming generation with consoles, early adopters like me and my stepbros are effectively beta testers, helping before the generation really gets going a couple or few years down the line.

LP, we ever gonna play some XB1 or what bro?????

And I don't hate Bungie, I wanted Destiny to be a return to form that's why I'm so upset with them right now. And... The way they've treated MS players and Marty of course.

It can be a certain kind of challenging to take on the hard modes that are 2 levels above you on missions meant for 3 people. But that's the "Let's find out what solid oak door is just paper mache by running full force into them" approach.

You, me, Grav, Earthbound, Justinia, my loads of other friends, Steelcan potentially, Beerfish as well, we all need to get together and have some big ass Bioware Forum/LP's XBL Friends/Roosterteeth Community united gaming circle. hahaha

It's one game out of an obvious series, there's one thing Bungie is known for and it's world building

Destiny set up a strong foundation for that regardless of it bare-bone story

Eh, I'm not a fan of modes designed to be more difficult. I've taken on harder difficulties in games before, but I prefer the normal ones or those that allow me to enjoy the narrative...

...which Destiny underperformed in, according to bloody everyone...

I said this to a friend earlier today(the one who paid for my copy that is currently out in the free-shipping system) and he seems to believe that instead of a Destiny 2 or 3, they're just gonna keep adding to this one title with update after add on after expansion.

I don't know about that.

After the reception this got, ESPECIALLY after the hype, it would be a definite "wait and see".

Edit- Damn it feels weird to post this much, I haven't posted more than a few posts the last few days thanks to Minecraft on the One, hahaha

I don't know, I haven't played a FPS since Titanfall, and then I didn't play that for very long.

This I see playing a lot, especially if I go through and improve characters and make every combination.

Speaking of, would you rather I Warlock or Titan when playing with you Prince? I remember you said you'd be playing Hunter.

Oh my, I just realized I haven't even touched the PvP

Whatever you're comfortable with. I am VERY likely to stay Hunter in the main game as I was in the Beta.

Also, one thing Destiny did right- Hunter is in the foreground on the cover. DRAGON AGE, Y U NO COVER ROGUES
