With my Xbox One, even though I've enjoyed the games I've played, I can say that most of my enjoyment has come from watching Twitch streams through the app. Or rather, thats been my most consistent enjoyment(I can do this every day/every few days if I choose to).

My stepbrothers with PS4s have complaints about no games out at the moment that they care about, but they're hyped for later ones(Arkham, Phantom Pain, etc etc).

Like every gaming generation with consoles, early adopters like me and my stepbros are effectively beta testers, helping before the generation really gets going a couple or few years down the line.

I bought a 360 quite early and the "must-haves" were few and far between at first. Yet for some reason it seems worse this time around. At this rate the next round of consoles won't even launch with any games at all.

I burned out two 360s (red ring of death) before I ended up with one of the late model ones which seems to have finally corrected that flaw. Yet I didn't mind that because I invested hundreds of hours into the games for it. So far I just haven't felt driven to go out and buy the X1. Some of the reason might be that I can play many of the same games on the PC now, some of it might just by my usual negativity, but it seems like we're waiting a lot longer for any games that will be remembered as "must-haves".

You, me, Grav, Earthbound, Justinia, my loads of other friends, Steelcan potentially, Beerfish as well, we all need to get together and have some big ass Bioware Forum/LP's XBL Friends/Roosterteeth Community united gaming circle. hahaha

November 11th good sir..... It's basically a day in which any and all XB1 users worth a sh!t will be in full worship at the Church of Sierra 117. It will be...... glorious.

Such a detailed review, I think you could make a lot of money with things like that.

Personally, I think Destiny has shaped up quite nicely, and I haven't even touched the full game yet.

Story is there...kinda, you have to pick it out of what your Ghost is saying and the weird way the Speaker uses the English language.

But I can't wait to see more of what we've been given, just kinda wish the first few DLC would be a little cheaper, but that's mostly Activision's doing there.

I'd game with you on the One. Its a worthy unit. Free games with a Gold account every month, a sweet Twitch app, CONSTANT updates, a direct line of feedback to Microsoft, and potential to grow.

Remember, the 360 dashboard used to be the "blades". That changed dramatically over time. The One will as well. Right now, its solid. It just needs games to hit it out of the ball park. There are strong titles coming in the future, so that shouldn't be a problem. Right now though, everything seems lukewarm.

Such a shame. I would get this game if I had someone to play with. I'm not one of the cool kids with an XB1, though. I'm just a lame kid with a 360.

One day, you will arise to the X1, and we will embrace you as ONE OF US, ONE OF US(keep the 360, XBL counts for both)

Perhaps one day. As long as games keep getting ported to the 360, I shall save my money.

and be lonely.

If weak storytelling, repetitive combat and dull bosses are correct info, it doesn't worth more than 6/10.

A meh story sure, repetitive combat and dull bosses? bs.

As far as debuts go, Halo far outclassed Destiny. I was hoping for Bungie to hit it out of the park again.

You can't compare the two at all really. When the first Halo came out, there was only two good console fps at the time back on the N64. Halo was big because it showed that a FPS could be very well done. Destiny has came out way past this. console FPS are the norm, making a FPS these days no matter how much you try to pretty it up will still fall short on how we felt when we played things like Goldeneye, Halo ect for very clear reasons.  I think someone said it best. Destiny is a jack of all trades, but not a master of any. It's still fun even with it's flaws(which personally are very overshadowed)

And I don't hate Bungie, I wanted Destiny to be a return to form that's why I'm so upset with them right now. And... The way they've treated MS players and Marty of course.

Let me get this straight. Halo series, which had three main games(only two where good), a stand alone expansion, a prequel for the first game, a rts prequel to most of the events and a new trilogy. You're comparing that to a new series that has ONE game which is very MMO heavy. What.

Also Bungie has no loyalty to MS players, that very notion is silly. Now the thing with Marty is a very complex situation. Something happen, we don't know, but the fact that his music is still in the game shows Bungie and him are on good terms even if his departure was controversial.

Finally got the chance to set a couple of hours into the game, and my general impression of it is that the game is loads of fun but ultimately hollow and lacking in creativity. The game seems to be more focused on content rather than any real meaning / heart to it to build up an identity of its own. It starts with a rather interesting narrative and general build up but never seems to deliver on said premise. It might change as I play, but so far I haven't seen any indication of it.

This was my initial fear for the game, and I am disappointed that it turned out so. I do hope the expansion packs and whatever Bungie has in store for its "10 year plan" manages to improve on certain aspects that are lacking and also adding some new features into the game. If it is just the same mission set up Destiny has offered thus far, then yeah no thanks.

With that said however, I have had a blast with the game otherwise. Of course, the PvP has proven to be awesome, which is to be expected from Bungie. If I am allowed to brag, managed to pull out a solid 28/5 with my Warlock during one game. God I love Nova Bomb.

After the reception this got, ESPECIALLY after the hype, it would be a definite "wait and see".

Edit- Damn it feels weird to post this much, I haven't posted more than a few posts the last few days thanks to Minecraft on the One, hahaha

Eh...I will never understand why the marketing for game companies insist on inducing massive levels of hype for their games.

It rarely seems to end well. I'd like to term it "The Fable Syndrome".

Whatever you're comfortable with. I am VERY likely to stay Hunter in the main game as I was in the Beta.

Also, one thing Destiny did right- Hunter is in the foreground on the cover. DRAGON AGE, Y U NO COVER ROGUES

Well ya...hunters can be quite over-powered with both of their supercharges. It has caused me to sigh at times.

For whatever reason, Bungie decided to place all of the lore on their site instead of somewhere inside of the game. By segregating the lore from the game they made it seem less interesting, and generally unimportant.

The game is fun if you overlook the repetitive mission/area design, and the grind (which is usually fun) it will take to get "legendary" gear.

It is indeed strange. I looked up the lore on the site and some parts genuinely sounds interesting, e.g. with different faction wars being played on a political level, so it is sad that they only serve as gear vendors in the game. Wasted potential if you ask me. As I said, hopefully Bungie takes the initiative and builds up more coherent story telling, since I know they are able to do so.

Personally I think reviewers giving the game a 6.0 and 7.0 are a bit unfair, especially when reading them. To me, it stems mostly from disappointment and level of hype, instead of giving a genuine perspective. The gameplay is solid, the servers as well, no technical difficulties, no glitches or bugs (at least what I have seen), beautiful and varied environments, varied enemies and great enemy AI. The story is lacking, but it is not crap. If one actually stops and listens to what Ghost is saying and reads up on events, then it is rather genuine in its approach, but I do wonder why Bungie chose this route.
