Also here is the full schedule for all the upcoming events in September and early October.

I think I may have found the entrance to the Vault of Glass. On Venus there is an area called the Junction, it is guarded by a bunch of level 22 Vex and it ends at this conflux thing which is glowing blue (shielded?) and it has a pad that looks like it is meant to be stepped on.

I also found an area in Old Russia called the Grottos, it's accessible through a train yard and/or through the Forgotten Shore. The Grottos are filled with level 20 Hive forces, I couldn't find much of interest inside...

What I understood:
Galacticus is postmodern!

Vault of Glass is mentioned many times during Venus and I have some cards that even detail the vex that are inside the vault and they are much much much different then the Vex we have already fought which shows something big is there(along with even certain characters being interested in the vault). Suffice to say, everything points to something BIG in that vault.

There is also a interesting theory on The Speaker, one I believe and if true would have just turned the story more interesting. Do not read if you have not gotten to and beat the first mission on Venus, better if you have also already beat the story.

I think they meant to say "post-apocalyptic." ;)

This here, is a pretty spot-on review of Destiny.

If that is satire, then it is a good video but if it's serious then just lol.

I tried this game last week with a friend but wasn't overly impressed with it.  Game is eyegasmic to be sure.  But I felt it just played similar to Halo with slightly different characters, and many things felt taken from other games; one example is the dancing you can do from Destiny, I felt it was basically just ripped off from Mass Effect.

My Awoken looked pretty killer though.

So does this game actually get better with regards to the story, or is it just a giant combat sandbox but only in select regions like Mars or Earth?

Because ME was the only game that has ever done dancing.

I can agree that there isn't a lot of depth to the secondary characters, even to your Ghost.

But I don't see how the Ghost is Wheatley inspired.

Because ME was the only game that has ever done dancing.

Dancing is a staple in MMO interactions, and it's no surprise Destiny, taking ideas from the MMO genre, would have it. So, agreed.

I was in a game yesterday where a level 24 titan got that LMG. Crucible on PS4?

I just got a weapon bounty last night for an Exotic Hand Cannon. I also got the exotic gloves off the agent of nine using my coins.

My buddies and I all hit 25 over the weekend and are ready to do the raid come Tuesday. We just need to recruit 2-3 people.

Xbox one actually.

Any how I'm nearly at level 25, just need to get some exotic/legendary armor so I can get to level 26 for the upcoming raid.

Spoiler

That is an interesting theory, I like that. With the various factions vying for power in the city, something like that could set up for some sort of civil war (possibly using the Crucible as a proxy) amongst the Guardians.

Also (although I'm sure others have noticed this), it seems the second expansion House of Wolves will be about the Queen since she took over that Fallen House by killing their Kell. Maybe they'll turn on her and we'll have to clean up the mess, or something. Certainly I want to know more about the Awoken in the Reef and hopefully learn more about the Fallen society (such as it is).

As for areas which seem like they're ripe for being opened up, on Earth the area around Skywatch (I think) where the Hive and Fallen are fighting each other (not the trainyards, it's a later area story-wise), there's an opening where the Hive are exiting. I went in there and cleared it out. You can't go far, but when you reach an area where the way forward is all collapsed, a new area name popped up, something complex. Perhaps that'll be something we'll eventually find a way into.

I'm hoping the expansions are going to truly be that, not just a new set of story missions, but areas opened up in old locations. I know there are mentions of new maps, gear, etc, but I figure the maps are pvp, so I hope there will also be more areas opened in pve. Still need more details before I'm willing to get them though, £35 is a bit steep to pay on trust.

And finally (didn't expect to ramble this much) my Warlock got her first legendary... for a Titan. Well, in the vault it goes, my Titan will get from level 4 to 20 one day.

A buddy of mine picked this game up, so I decided to also pick it up. If I can pour a year into ME3's multiplayer, then I can definitely see myself getting a year out of this game. They are similar concepts to me.

Also, waaaaaaaaaay better than Titanfall, in my opinion.

Agreed. Titanfall lasted me a week before I got bored of it. I played the beta for 20 hours, and have almost beaten the moon missions (2 story missions and the strike left). This game is just pure awesome, there is a lot to do, and the gameplay is mighty fun.

Once you reach level 20 you have to play with... random people from the internet? Ew.

Guess it's time to work on my Titan

There is speculation that the first expansion will deal with the unexplored aspects that we saw on the moon(mostly from Sword of Crota and Shrine of Oryx

Got my first exotic item for my level 24 titan, the thunderlord LMG.

:) :)

My first exotic was a sniper rifle. It made me sad.

It makes me sad that that makes you sad. I'd love an exotic anything at this point.

PvP-wise, I think I still prefer Titanfall. More depth, less bullshit.

My first day of Destiny is over.

Reached Level 13(halfway to 14).

Basically recreated my character from the Beta(aesthetically).

I have to say, trying to play the game in such a way to enjoy it at its highest level narratively is hard.

There is very little to go on, and with friends playing along(as was my experience), having the time to understand things becomes hard to get.

I wish there was FAR more story in this game. More cutscenes, more dialogue, more narrative as a whole. I wonder if that is in its future.

For now, it is what it is. Gameplay wise its relatively fun, and I got a few videos recorded by my Xbox One of great moments in multiplayer(according to my friends I got better than I was in the Beta), but I can't gauge it just yet. Will have to have more time with it before I really give it an opinion.

I was disappointed by the amount of story cut-scenes the game has

Spoiler
I just looked at the story cards on Bungie.net and found out that they explain the effects of your actions during the story, the cards even have quotes. Why oh why couldn't they have had more character interaction and had those quotes spoke to you in game? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game, but It would have been leagues better if they had done it that way.

Yeah, the game FEELS like its missing all the story goodies. That in tandem with Dinklebot's monotone statements doesn't exactly get my blood pumping for what's next.

I mean, I need to read the cards on the site for the story, right?

I use Safari as my main browser, but the site doesn't really have Safari functionality for some of its features. I need to use Firefox or Chrome for it.

Tried Firefox, loading was slow and choppy.

Now trying Chrome, running smoother. Might give a read.
