I'm sitting at all rare, so I am feeling more comfortably close to that.

Am i the only one who thinks this game was overhyped?  I Bought it today and played through it for about 6 hours and i thought it was albeit a bit dissapointing. The multiplayer got repititive quick  And the story is boring But Don't get me wrong the game is fun but it didn't live up to its hype IMO

I specifically stayed away from everything about this game except the bare details that tell me what I needed to know, played the beta.

 

So I have no idea what overhype is, hell, that's not in my vernacular.

 

It's a solid game, sadly most people are looking at it as a game that's going to be a one time story drop. It's not. I was asking someone who played WoW from the beginning(Destiny is not a MMO they say, but it's one of the closest things to compare it to that you can). Given the Warcraft universe had a established universe, he said the game was basically "Go here, kill these things, get money to get better gear to kill more things". So I'd say Destiny stepped up pretty well so far.

Right now saving marks and getting my vanguard rep for the legendary vanguard machine gun, unless Xur has an exotic one wen he shows up but then I have to give up my exotic primary

Still looking for 2 other people to do the Weekly Strike Heroic mission/s - if anyone has the PS4 version, my PSN handle is  AVPen  (yep, same as my name here, lol).

 

Also had a friend show me and a few others where to farm for engrams on the Old Russia map, but somehow I doubt this will lead me to actually getting Legendary engrams, lol. Think the only surefire why to get the Legendary gear is going to have to be to get my Vanguard&Crucible rep up to Rank 2, then switch over to joining the Future War Cult guild to gain their rep and gear.

I was promised exploration. There is very little of it :/ (except mars ) Also, i can't recall any outstanding moments or characters from the story and that is a very bad thing. I've played bad games with bad stories before, but at least i could remember what happened in them afterwards and why. There is no story in Destiny :/

 

But at least i can collect tears in pvp. Shotgun to the face!

My thoughts on Legendary engrams:

 

 

This seriously disappoints me, I remember bungie saying at E3 that all of the loot was player specific and that no one else could pick it up, what were they thinking to not apply that to something as important as a Legendary engram? The grind for Legendaries keeps getting more and more frustrating 

 

 

I believe that is what I had, I didn't really pay attention. I recall it saying error and the box being red coloured. 

 

I don't know if it is true or not, but someone on the Gamefaqs forum is claiming to have bought an exotic engram from Xur and it decrypted into a "rare".   So if you do buy from Xur, don't hold your breath. 

 

Engrams are totally random. No matter the color of the engram it still has a chance for normal-legendary items.

I have mixed opinions on the fusion rifles. Sometimes they're awesome, most times they're not, and I seem to get more use out of my rare fusion rifle than my exotic sniper rifle. 

 

This annoys me.

Here's my Exo Warlock.

 

I feel like I am starting to lose my upward momentum though. All further upgrades to my armor slots require ascendent shards, and I don't have enough people to run the Vault of Glass.

Me either but that's okay. At least this way I can gear and complete the 'storyline' at my leisure though that seems to be how I usually handle things in an MMO as I play TOR the sameway.

I don't have a mic either yet (gonna stop and pick up one at Gamestop on Sunday, though).

 

Haven't finished the campaign yet as well, but as raziel said, I'm fine with taking my time on it (especially since there's so little of the story as is, lol).
