Nightfall and the Raid have completely infuriated me with this game. I have to leave it alone for a week or so so I can dodge the overbearing clan I got roped into back in CoD Ghosts and essentially stall my leveling so that they won't need or rather can't use me. Funny thing is that I'm not hot stuff or anything it's just that I play a lot longer than the other, better players so I am useful since I have the time to commit but then 3 to 5 hours into Nightfall and the Raid and I just would rather be off alone and relaxing while picking on the standard missions, patrol or maybe even playing some crucible.

lol had the same thing happen to me. Had saved all manners of engrams for when I reached lvl 20, which I did and went and turn them in and got a bunch of useless stuff.

It popped up as an event when I turned in a bounty. It might have something to do with Vanguard Rep or it might just be a random thing that has a % chance to happen every time you turn in a bounty.

Earned my exotic bounty today after turning a bunch of Vanguard bounties (which I'm now putting towards New Monarchy rep) - decided to go with the "A Dubious Task" bounty, which gives the exotic shotgun Invective (might have considered going after the pulse rifle Bad Juju, but my legendary Strange Suspect is proving to be an incredible pulse rifle, plus I thought the bonuses of my Strange Suspect were better than Bad Juju). Now I just gotta first win 5 Strike missions without dying.... lovely, lol.

 

Anybody know when Xur is suppose to show up on the Weekends, by any chance?

He might only show up late Friday, or Traveler I hope we don't have to wait some ungodly amount of time, like he only shows up every other weekend or something like that.

 

So Saturday US side is probably your best bet.

I recently made a new Titan Exo, Defender sub-class, and….. its not as bad as I though it would be. Sure the Striker Titan and the Warlock and Hunter are way more flashy and offensive oriented, but I have been playing through the Earth missions; each one set to the hardest possible difficulty; and I haven't died yet (knock on wood). 

 

It's really satisfying when an elite brings down my shields and I just pop out Ward of Dawn and switch to my shotgun and dare them to enter my personal space.

The best is someone joining a strike right as you kill the boss, and they get all the loot.

I've had some great luck, I got my second Exotic Bounty last night (so now I have Roland's Legacy and A Light in the Dark) and this morning I had a Legendary Engram turn into a Legendary Scout Rifle called Crusader 1.

 

The Exotic Bounties are random as far as I know, however both times I got the missive (I think it was called Vanguard Missive) for them I had just turned in a bunch of Vanguard Bounties, so maybe you get it from doing Vanguard Bounties?

Awww, man, don't get me started on that.

 

I'm not good at pvp, I freely admit that, but the game seems to go out of it's way to be annoying about the rewards. I did a clash match the other day, and got dropped into one in progress, on a team that wasn't full, woefully behind in points, and against a team of players that seemed to be quite good. I figured, ok, probably going to lose. But I stuck it out. Between players on my team either getting kicked out due to connection troubles or just rage-quitting, I was the guy who stayed in the game longest and made it to second on the board at the end. We only lost by a handful of points too, I pretty much kept the game alive for my team and put on one of my best performances in a pvp match so far.

 

We get to the reward screen, where most of the team is players who only joined in the last few minutes of the match and had about half my score. Everyone on the team gets one item, two players lower than me get a second item. I get nothing...

 

Would it REALLY be so unfair for everyone on both teams to get an item and then the top ranked player on each team gets a second? Something like that, something not so random? Apparently Bungie thinks differently.
