Thing is, I am a level 25 from nothing but bought items, RNG never did anything for me.

I agree Joe on most points, the story was bland considering that Bungie has shown they can write great stories (the halo series), and the RNG is annoying no one wants to farm for item's but that's what they are doing. That being said I would personally rate this game a 8/10, the series (along with titanfall) has a lot of potential in it and it clearly shows but it could have used a better start and despite the significant issue's its overall a very fun game and I'm looking forward to see what they do with it in the future. 

 

Activision (and sony) clearly wanted destiny to be a "halo killer" but from the overall reception destiny isn't going to be one..

Am getting a little pissy with the Crucible though, so f**king tired of seeing people who don't do much during the match walk away with all the cool Legendary and Exotic gear  Sh*t, last night there was some guy who was AFK the ENTIRE Control match, his reward? An exotic sniper rifle.... 

 

What's making me pissy about the crucible lately are all of the lag kills I keep getting, and how it's turning into a fan made music video for Jump Around. I don't know how many times I have killed someone only to watch them kill me, kill most of my surrounding teammates, eat a storm of bullets, and then finally die to a head shot that I gave them 10 seconds earlier.

My friend Chris says I'm the luckiest person he knows when it comes to Legendaries. *shrugs*

 

I have two legendary scout rifles, a legendary fusion rifle, legendary sniper rifle, and today I got two new legendaries;a legendary rocket launcher and legendary machine gun.

 

I also finally got a piece of legendary armor today. Twas a helmet. I have my exotic chest piece so I need gauntlets, boots, and a class item. I can afford a cloak from the Voice of the Traveler but I haven't bought one yet as I'm planning to wait for the reset on Tuesday.

I'm doing rumble and I won using nothing but a weak shotgun that deals void damage. Look at what you have done Bungie, look at it!

Well, last night I maxed on vanguard marks for the week( made it to rank 2 as well so got the Ghost Angel cape and he Dustmaker chestpiece for my first legendary items) so no more strikes for me til Tuesday...let's see if I can max out Crucible Marks( at 40 or so now) before Tuesday( rep is still rank 0 though...since I don't crucible much with this character). All my legendary entagrams are either made rare items or motes of light...so yeah, the Cryptarch is a troll but atleast I'm rank 4 with him.

Well, I'm part of a ragtag group of folks preparing to undertake the Vault of Glass on Tuesday. Or at least start it.

 

Good Guy Grav helped me prepare along with some aid by my friend Chris.

 

I've got legendary weapons for each class(should upgrade my sniper and machine gun though to get the most out of them), and I've got a piece of legendary armor for everything but gauntlets and my cloak. Gauntlets will be easy, I just need a few more Vanguard marks on Tuesday and I can pick them up from Nathan Fillion, the cloak doesn't really matter but I've got like 49 Motes of Light so I'll buy something just for the sake of it from the Voice of the Traveler.

 

I need to get the final upgrade on my exotic chest armor, which means I need two more Ascendant Shards. Hoping the Dailies will help with that if completed on Level 28 Very Hard difficulty.

 

I may need to head to Mars and run the path to open chests and get Relic Irons for upgrades.

 

I should be able to hit Level 27 if I do everything in time.

 

So on this Monday there will be some FIERCE grinding. Wish me luck.

Haha I just finished A Light in the Dark, if that's the one you're working on.  I spent a good couple of hours stealth-fusioning faces.  It was a necessary evil for my first exotic.

 

Also if anyone here needs a player I'm currently a level 26, soon to be level 27 hunter, mostly a Bladedancer but I run Gunslinger too.  I also started a Warlock recently and he's level 22 as of this morning.  PSN is J-Reyno.  Add me especially if you plan to play DAMP!

I accepted A Light In The Dark. Can you tell me what it entails?

 

1. Normal Strike

2. 500 Hive Kills on the Moon

3. Pain in the Ass Crucible stuff (Basically you need 100 points. You get 5 points every time you kill someone with void damage and you lose 2 points every time you die.)

4. You have to do an insanely difficult level 26 strike. I mean EVERY modifier in the game is turned on. YOU WILL NOT SURVIVE!

 

Rewards an exotic Hand Cannon that has too low a magazine size and an ridiculously slow reload speed. I unlocked an exotic scout rifle and never went back to it. It is by far the coolest looking exotic I've seen so far though... If that helps?

Well me and some others tried to do the Vault of Glass Over the weekend.

 

 

45 minutes to get the front door open.

 

3 hours repeatedly fighting the Templar boss and dying.

 

Going to bed at 3 o'clock in the morning with no further progress made.

 

 

 

 

I will say that the Raid is way better put together than the Strikes are. All of the different objectives and mechanics (just in the very small bit that I got to see) is miles better than the standard 'Have ghost hack the door console while you fight three waves of baddies.' objectives.

 

 

*On a side note*

I would love to see the melee weapons, like the Sword of Crota, and the Shield from the fight against the Templar Boss become permanent gameplay options for the three classes; maybe an 'ultra exotic' weapon. Bonus points if specific weapons are suited towards certain classes, like the Sword of Crota type weapons being best used by Bladedancers, and the shield weapon being best suited towards the defender subclass.

That's the one! I finished that part of it last night, I just need to kill the Unwed and then I have it, I was able to complete Bad Juju in the same match.

When you get to the PVP part of it, I recommend doing Rumble, as I was having a hard time getting anywhere with Control, it took me about 7-10 games of Rumble to get it. In Rumble you rarely have to worry about getting ganged up on. You pretty much just need to charge someone with a shotgun and you'll gain a little ground even if they kill you with a shotgun too.

When people resort to farming to get loot, that would mean something is very wrong with the loot system.
