I don't think so, but I am not 100% sure. I do know that the Legendary weapons and armor you can get for doing the Queen's Wrath missions are actually weaker than what you could get by buying from the other factions and the Vanguard.
Yeah, the Glimmer Cap is so low that it disappoints me. I was holding out hope for a really cool and expensive ship until I found out about the cap being 25k. I have all of those consumables and have never once used them either, I just throw my glimmer away on useless engrams so that I level up my Cryptarch, just on the offhand that his level does have an actual effect on something.
Yeah, I noticed they didn't seem particularly good. I mostly just wanted one for the Reef/Queen design.
That's a good idea. I'm at level 8 at the Cryptarch and he still gives me rubbish, but even worse I seem to be finding less and less engrams while playing (although I've got a legendary boots engram to turn in, fingers crossed). Buying some to keep away from the glimmer cap would probably be a good idea. Everything worth buying requires marks or motes or strange coins anyway.
Which brings me to another annoyance. I finished the Black Garden earlier, figured it was about time. The story really does end on a whimper, but what annoyed me the most was the 'reward'. In story, our Guardian does what no other Guardian can do (apart from, you know, every other player), triumphs against countless foes which have slain Guardians in the past, defeats a great evil at the centre of the Black Garden, safeguards the Traveler. And your reward is one mote of light. The Speaker basically says, "Well done, here is a speck of dust I found. Don't spend it all in one place. Keep grinding til the DLC comes out. Kthxbye." Hell, the Stranger's Rifle is worse than the pulse rifle I got in the crucible last week.
I really just don't understand how Bungie thinks people who don't like the game as much as I do (still think the positives outweigh the negatives at the moment) are going to stick around until December with all the games coming out in October and November when there is so little incentive to do things in the game. I actually had a lot more fun leveling my character up to 20. Might end up leveling my Titan and Hunter instead once I finish grinding out the crucible marks to buy my two other legendary armour pieces.
