Well me and my clan finished the Vault of Glass last night, I got the Atheon's Epilogue Auto Rifle out of it, and this gun is crazy!

 

An auto rifle with 69 bullets per clip that deals void damage, grows increasingly accurate the longer it is fired, the bottom half of each magazine deals bonus damage, and it does increased damage to oracles in the Vault of Glass.

 

What's not to like?

 

Man, I want that. Guess I need to figure out how to join a guild that likes to do the Vault of Glass.

 

I'm painfully unused to the XBOX social group aspects, and I don't have 6 people on my own friend list who play. I was going to wait for them to introduce raid matchmaking, but if they've already got a semi-usable system...

 

Is it semi-usable? Sadly, this is my first MMO in which a clan system was needed for raiding.

Went though the entire normal Raid from start to finish tonight, only earned a bunch of accendent shards, energy, and the Chatterwhite shader, lol. After that was over, I was able to level up my Warlock to lvl 29 and had some guy in the Tower just randomly ask me to join him on a hard Raid. So first his team tried it out on another player's character who had gotten to Atheon to see if we could beat him or not.... took for-freaking-ever trying to get this one specific strategy to work to beat him, mainly cause of one dumba** on the team who had no clue which Gates were which plus he'd always be shooting the boss when he wasn't suppose to. BUT we did beat him and I earned more accendent shards and the legendary ship "Aspect of Glass".

 

Then we were going to play the hard Raid from the beginning to get the rest of the reward drops, butttttt..... my f***ing internet connection cut off  and by the time I got back on ten minutes later, they had already gotten a replacement and I couldn't rejoin the team 

 

So I'm gonna have to find another team to roll with to get the rest of the hard Raid rewards before this Tuesday's progress reset. 

 

At least I got both Raid Achievements, the Chatterwhite shader, and a new legendary ship out of the night, lol.

I bought the Voidfang Vestments instead and didn't bother buying the Icebereaker either - my pair of Supremacy sniper rifles I got from the Queens Wrath missions work for me just fine (and my Arc version can cause enemies to explode on precision kills).

I didn't have enough strange coins to buy Icebreaker, so there's at least one guy on PS4 that doesn't have it. Now that I've got Super Good Advice I want more exotics, even if you can only use one at a time. I wants the precious! I needs it!

One day, when I check, the Gunsmith is going to be carrying a rare fusion rifle then my first exotic weapon is just around the corner.

Before during the raid i wasn't using any exotic weapon during even though i had three.  So with me having ice breaker it should make raid runs that much faster.  Also if anyone needs another person for the raid or needs help with a nightfall let me know, I have third character that can do it.

Got my first piece of raid armor though, a chest piece. Won't be replacing my Lucky Raspberry exotic chest armor any time soon, but I'll upgrade it anyway and then do that later. I might switch back and forth between them in the future, it'll depend.

Did the raid most of the raid on Friday with a team but haven't finished it with them . If your doing the raid again send me an invite GT is same as my BSN user name.

Well..... I did it.... I f***ing did it..... after a lot of time, sweat, tears and toil, and an obscene amount of profanities thrown at my TV screen..... I reached Rank 3 of the Iron Banner.

 

And like reaching Rank 3 of the Queen's Wrath event.... it's pretty damn underwhelming, honestly. Actually, even moreso than QW, cause at least the Queen's vendor stock increased to include all the weapons. I thought there was suppose to be a ton of new Legendary armor and weapons to choose from, but the IB vendor still has that same damn set of gloves and rocket launcher that he always has had   Where's all the new stuff that was listed on this page? Are these items suppose to be locked out till the last day of the event?  Don't tell me all the new gear and weapons need to be earned as random reward drops from the f***ing Iron Banner matches?!? 

 

In either case, I consider myself freaking DONE with the Iron Banner event. To both the Iron Banner and Bungie, I say with the utmost sincerity: 

"Screw you for making one of the most absurdly frustrating, mind-numbingly ridiculous, pain in the f***ing ass gameplay modes I've ever played in an online multiplayer game." 

 

Well, at least the Goldspiral shader looks pretty boss.

That's gobshite. What's the point of grinding for more RNG? If you can't buy the things then I'll never get any of them, I have horrible luck with the RNG. I'm still nowhere near rank 2, that'll be as far as I go if I do bother.

 

I still don't understand their decision to only give crucible rep if you lose the match. Especially since so many people seem to give up if their team is losing, thus ensuring they lose. Last night I had a match where a couple of guys left the match from my team 30 seconds in and we were bloody winning! Ok, maybe they had a connection problem, but the way people seem to quit in Iron Banner I'm not sure.

LOL. I love a good rant. That's why I've been pretty casual with this game. You don't really have the frustration, but you miss out on the higher level stuff which does suck.
