I'll leave this here.
I'll leave this here.
Okay, after using the raid exclusive scout rifle Vision of Confluence
http://destiny.wikia...n_of_Confluence
I can say that I definitely see myself using this in the future. Its a scout rifle that has a full-auto upgrade(unlocked rather quickly) which basically turns it into a Suros Regime if Suros was fired looking down the sight, with a slower rate of fire, harder hits, and better accuracy. The lower clip size and total ammo doesn't matter.
It is definitely an awesome weapon. Upgrading it is gonna be a hassle though, as I'll need to force myself through the "campaign" missions to upgrade it with any semblance of speed. Multiplayer is far too slow as the amount of kills is what determines the speed of upgrading a weapon.
Hopefully it won't take forever, but there are gonna be a LOT of missions being completed in the future for me to fully upgrade it.
Seems worth it though.
Also, the raid specific legendary sparrow, Timebreaker?
http://destiny.wikia...0_"Timebreaker"
Awesome. It sounds a little different than normal sparrows when in motion during boost and leaves a beautiful blue trail behind it as it moves, which turns purple if you use its exclusive ability;an overdrive by holding boost and brake simultaneously, at the risk of the sparrow exploding if held down too long.
The quest for Vex Mythoclast continues though. And some raid gauntlets and greaves.
I've yet to finish the raid. I really want to get some raid weapons and greaves fro my titan.
Completed the entire hard Raid this afternoon with my new core group of Raiders - took us maybe an hour and a half, 2 hours to finish it (it sooooo f***ing helps that these guys are actually good and competent, lol
).
Got the Raid helmet from Atheon (actually, 2 helmets.... my friend is pissed there is no trading system, lol), which means with my current set of Raid boots, Raid gloves, and my Voidfang Vestments, I'll finally be able to reach level 30 now
(was only 3 Light points away with my current helmet, lol). Also got from Atheon the Universal Remote, an exotic shotgun that functions as a primary weapon instead of a secondary (and has an upgrade that's suppose to dramatically increases both range and precision damage when aiming down the sights), along with the Timebreaker legendary sparrow (also got the Found Verdict legendary shotgun from the Templar). And I found the 5th chest (yes, there is a 5th chest) and learned how to achieve it.
Beat the Raid on Hard again today. No cheese this time. Infact, for Templar we used 5 top, 1 bottom, with me occupying the latter position. Tip: rockets are the way to go against the Templar. For Atheon the best way IMO is still everyone in the middle during Time's Vengeance; nades in portal 1, heavies and supers in portal 2 = makes the relic holder's job so, so much easier.

VoC definitely one of the Top 10 guns in the game. Timebreaker is also awesome. I semi-regret spending 175 vanguard marks and 23 strange coins to get a legendary S-30V.

Q: did you get the helmet in Normal or Hard difficulty? I've been hearing that you can only get it on hard (along with Fatebringer, Praetorian Foil, Praedyth's Timepiece, and obviously the Vex Mythoclast).

Yeah, Timebreaker is cool (and like you, I regret spending those marks and strange coins to buy and upgrade a rare sparrow into a legendary one).
I got both helmets on Hard - I believe you do have to get that armor on the Hard Raid (one has a cross between Intellect and Strength, while the one I'm wearing now has a HUGE boost to Intellect).
The Warlock helmet looks pretty awesome, btw: http://www.bungie.ne...843009217475301 ![]()
I'll leave this here.
Yeah, heard about this the other day. Also, that Dune reference. ![]()
That looks cool. ![]()
Just so those that can't see me in game know, that picture doesn't really do it justice. It has the digi-camo, and the persistent blue stripes on my coat aren't there, and the over all color is lighter.
But, now I need to start getting as many Ascendant Shards as possible, and to get a new exotic armor piece so I can use my Vault gauntlets, but I should reach at least 29 with the gear I've got.
Thunder Devil shader.
Nice.

Nice, where'd you find that one?

Apology Reward package from the Cryptarch
Lol, I like that. They should add "I'm so sorry." to the item description when you pick up a package from the mail.

I only semi-regret it because the custom sparrows are faster than Timebreaker and can actually brake/hard turn. But yeah, I still floss wit dat Timebreaker.
Good to know.
Ofcourse it does!

That is a bad-ass looking armour there.
Maybe I've had a run of bad luck today and last night, but it seems like the Iron Banner nonsense of quitting if your team isn't winning has infected regular pvp. Urgh.
Gonna spend some time doing public events, got a bounty.
My groups inability to find like-minded individuals that can raid several nights a week is really starting to take its toll on me. It's been a non-stop barrage of annoying little kids, cocky know-it-all's who won't stfu, and people who are only interested in Cheesing their way through the encounters.
Seriously, we ran into a group of three people who didn't even know how to do the Atheon Fight the legit way. We wasted 40 (extremely aggravating) minutes trying to cheese Atheon off the side of a cliff before they finally submitted and agreed to try the fight the way it was intended to be completed.
2 attempts later (roughly 15 minutes) we had our loot and were blissfully saying good bye to the morons.
We still haven't completed the Raid on Heroic. Last week having stalled at wave 1 of the Atheon fight and this week currently we are on the Templar fight.
It doesn't help that half our group is only available one or two nights a week.

I'm ready for DA:I... if only to get a break from this madness! ![]()
Uh...
I had a lucky day with Xur
I have 3 exotic armor pieces.
Sunbreakers
Voidfang Vestments
Light Beyond Nemesis
And I have Raid gauntlets
I have no idea which to run with once I get enough AS to upgrade them fully...
I just bought this, and man... It's so much fun. I created a Titan at first and I enjoyed playing it so much that I immediately created two other characters to explore their playstyles as well. There goes the rest of my semester. ![]()
I really hate the crucible part of the bounty.Through an exotic bounty, I've unlocked Thorn.
http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/Thorn
Have to grind out another 13 strikes in order to get closer to Bad Juju. I'm also in the 'need ascendent materials' trap, but now that I've gotten to Vanguard 2 I can at least (in theory) buy Legendary armor, level it up, and then break it down.
Sigh. Back to the grinding for relic iron... another 40 of it.
I really hate the crucible part of the bounty.
I hate that the gun isn't as good as it should be for what it is.
It looks badass tho.

I don't know what's worse the crucible part for Thorn (which I gave up entirely on since I didn't get it on my warlock), or the get 200 kills with a fusion rifle in a Nightfall strike (solo) with a fusion rifle.

I hate looking for relic iron. I can find everything else except for it.
On a side note:
I apparently completed the raid on normal. A friend of a friend invited me for the raid, and they were on the final boss. I then spent the next three hours trying to complete it because the vast majority of them were really bad.
We finally completed it because all of the warlocks managed to bug Altheon into falling off the platform. All I got for it was the dye you get for completing it, but at least I know how to do the Altheon fight now!

lolwut
We talking about for Thorn? You don't need specific kills during the level 26 Summoning Pits Strike for Thorn, you just need to not kill Phogoth until the third ship drops Xyor and then kill her.
Edit- Ne'ermind, Good Guy Grav clarified
