GTA V is coming out for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 on November 18th, I think that is why it was mentioned.

 

I say this as someone that got sick of Destiny and is taking a break: 

 

Destiny is capable of standing on its own. Bungie just needs to get its crap together and start adding events that are fun and don't rely on running launch day missions or launch day pvp maps. If they do that and add in some activities (like racing and upgrading for the airbikes (can't think of the name at the moment))the game can survive.

I say this as someone that got sick of Destiny and is taking a break:

And what it really needs is a feature to allow player to look for groups in game, I've yet to finish VoG on normal and the exams I have to study for aren't helping.

I agree but it is not that difficult to find people on your own.  Just go to www.destinylfg.net and you can easily find someone to join in on.  Most people have a group that they are sticking with so just asking the same people over and over again will get you no results.

Will be glad for November 17th to arrive this year - just give me the awesome DAI on PC and GTA5 on the PS4, then I can put Destiny away for a good while until the 1st Expansion. 

 

Also had two moochers just show up near the end of my Daily Challenge today - one was some guy I just put on the Friends list once, while the other was his much lower level friend (was playing on the lvl 28 Daily, this jacka** was at lvl 25). Had to listen to their bullsh*t conversation (all about the other guy's friend and his baby momma in a custody battle, thank god I didn't have my mic on) and between the two of them they had maybe 12-13 kills total at the end, whereas I had about 97 kills.... yet it's the f***ing lvl 25 moocher who gets a legendary primary weapon engram, the one legendary engram that I've been looking for for ages  Was a good thing that I didn't have my mic on, cause outside the game I was saying "F*** you, f*** your worthless lvl 25 friend, f*** this game, and f*** this game's horrible loot system".

Yeah, I've seen enough of that for quite some time. Or when you get into a strike and someone sits at the spawn point for most of the strike and then only turns up to fight the boss. And they get bloody good stuff at the end and you get something which you'll dismantle for 2 weapon parts.

 

Having not played for a couple of days now, I'm feeling much better about the wait for DA:I (probably won't get it until sometime the week after it releases in the UK due to it getting sent to me by gamestop. Never used them before so I don't know their delivery methods for something like a collectors ed.) Playing Destiny was actually making it less bearable to wait, because I just wasn't enjoying myself and felt like I was hitting my head against a brick wall while watching others saunter around the wall.

Annoying? Try totally FUBAR   Spent nearly 2 damn hours tonight just on Atheon, but we still haven't beaten him by the end of the night (the rest of the Raid was a fricken breeze). Man, if I manage to actually beat him and I get nothing but goddamn ascendant shards or energy just like it did last week, just like this new Raid also gave me nothing but more shards and energy on the first 3 reward drops..... f*** it, I might actually cry in frustration   or put my foot through my LCD TV, I'll decide when the time comes. 

 

The Nightfall challenge also was a friggen bust..... 8 Ascendant Shards (Oh goody! More f***ing shards!) and a worthless legendary machine gun. My buddy got the Hard Light exotic auto rifle, another weapon I've been looking for a while now.

If y'all are getting that stressed with Destiny, take a break. Play something else, or just put it down for a while.

 

I'm not frustrated so much with Destiny as I am in need of some fresh gaming, as Destiny was getting tiresome.

 

Sunset Overdrive is my cure. Halo, Unity, and Inquisition will follow and keep me sane. Y'all gotta have other things that won't have you wanting to kill the RNG.

So just completed the entire raid on hard and it only took two hours with a full team of 6 30's.  Nothing was that difficult even the random spawning on atheon wasn't that bad since it only takes three teleports to kill him.

Seems like they're raising the level cap to 32 and some other things. I'm still going to wait until it's out and there are detailed reviews but things of concern:

 

1. There are only three story missions in the expansion. Unless they're a great deal more involved than the current story missions that's not much of a story for an expansion.

 

2. The mention that along with the level cap increase, there will be an additional five bounty slots. Maybe that'll be an update for everyone when the expansion comes out, but that's not something I want behind a paywall.

 

3. Minor gripe, but I'd have liked to deal with Crota in a story mission rather than be denied because Raid. Not everyone is going to do raids, hell looking at the achievements on PS4 only a tiny percentage of the playerbase is doing raids.

 

Interesting things:

 

1. The mention that during the story missions you'll "increase your Light and earn new rewards." It could just be the way they're wording it, but it seems like there might be a way to increase light separately from gear. I'm most certainly reading too much into it.

 

2. The statements from Bungie mentioning players wanting new activities. At least they've caught on to that, but will they do anything with it? I don't think adding new patrol missions and bounties will swing it, we need something legitimately new.

Last Gen's thing seemed to be DLC and it appears this Gen's seems to be about Console Exclusivity. I am so sick of this console exclusivity business, I'm fine with it when developers are only making a game for one system, but when they purposefully hold back DLC or the games release for one version (I'm looking at you Rise of the Tomb Raider.)? That is wrong and bull, both groups of customers paid the same price. The difference is that the publisher took more money from either Microsoft or Sony, I'm sorry, but isn't that bribery?   

 

These underhanded business practices only hurt the customers and their relations with the companies that do this nonsense, I mean sure the companies that do this make some quick cash, but I'd think (at least in my case if I owned one such business) that they'd rather have a good reputation with their consumers rather than a quick buck, if you treat your customers right and keep them interested, they'll always come back, the quick buck is a temporary boost at best. 

 

Even though I own a Playstation 4, I probably won't get the DLC (for a while anyway). They need to offer more than a couple of more missions/strikes for me to grind over and over to retain my interest.
