I'm not going to gripe about the PS exclusives because xbox usually get's better treatment. A lot of my fellow xbox 360 players ****** endlessly about PS getting treated fairly.

As for the DLC, it better be good if I'm gonna buy it. If not I'm going to cry and perform a Gundam binge before promptly shooting myself.

I'm going to prescribe you with some more Gundam, Gundam is always good (except when it is Reconguista in G, stay away from that one) .

It's a big problem that the industry as a whole seems to have. They want as much money as they can get now, without regard to what they'll get later. Eventually people will get sick of it and stop buying. And then the publishers will come up with an excuse that blames the consumer.

I think that some of it has to do with the cost it takes to make video games now and that screwing over people is the only thing that some of the decision makers of the companies that do this nonsense seem to know, but the thing of it is we have companies that make back the entire cost of their games within the first week and they don't resort to this shady nonsense.

So I'd argue that if you treat your customers right and make something that interests them, you'll be in business for a long, long time. I mean you have companies like Rockstar that almost always make their money back in the first week or so and they've managed to do this by making games with a unique premise.

Yeah, and the the execs that cause the companies to crash and go under will likely get hired on somewhere else in ridiculously high positions and the cycle will continue. I just hope that this nonsense is a temporary thing, loss of trust between customers and publishers is what led to the first video game industry crash, we don't need another one of those...

That's what I've been hearing a lot of lately - is it really that terrible? (I mean, compared to previous crap like AGE, lol)

I'll be getting the Expansion automatically since I got the LE version, but honesty, that'll be the only reason I pick up Destiny again after I get some of the newer stuff coming out like DAI, GTA5, and AC.... I'm just getting too fed up with this horrible, horrendous RNG system that Bungie has for this game. I'm gonna try and finish the current Raids this week (would help if people had more Gjallarhorns on my team, mine was doing a sh*t-ton of damage against Atheon during the Time's Vengence), but if I end up with nothing yet again (aka, more damn shards...), I'm gonna put the game on the shelf for a while.

Just watch the LL32 gear be the tier 2 gear you can only get on Crota's End on Hard, which I'm guessing will be 32 itself.

When Char Azanble slams his fist into an object like that, something has gone horribly wrong.

As for Gundam, Gundams are the best mechs in existence, followed with Knightmares and Armored Cores.

It's about Destiny the game from Bungie everyone likes to ****** about yet they're still playing it, with Char angry at the fact that in order to get better stuff you must buy DLC after spending 60 bucks. At this rate he'll have to pawn his Zaku Commander's Variant, which only 100 were made. Well, he got the Commander's Gelgoog after all.

Oh, the Gundam happened.

If Char played Destiny then everything would be VERY interesting.

Well, this is a thing from the ending credits.

(it is a big picture)

Spoiler

There are also cheerleaders on a military ship that the show made no effort to explain (it really made no effort to explain anything, it just tosses out terms that haven't ever been mentioned in any Gundam series before this one), at least as far as I know, I called it quits after finishing episode 1, it felt like a waste of my time and that is a very bad thing coming from me seeing as how I have watched most of the different Gundam series from start to finish. I get that the show is light-hearted, but it doesn't make any serious attempt to be serious, I usually don't care about the animation of something, but since I am talking smack, I am going to go ahead and say that the original Mobile Suit Gundam that was released in the late 70's had better animation than this one does.  It didn't help that I found the protagonist unlikable due to how much of an overpowered airhead he seems to be. It is such a sad successor to the U.C. timeline, especially after how strong Gundam Unicorn was. Gundam Build Fighters Try is way better, watch it and Gundam Build Fighters if you want to see a light-hearted Gundam show done right.

On topic:

Until they make the loot drops reasonable, I refuse to raid. I just can't justify taking the time to put together my own version of the Avengers and not getting jack for it. I'll come back after they add a bit more stuff to do.

Oh, that has me a little salty too. There's no way I'm buying DLC after I paid full price for an incomplete game.

Destiny came with my white PS4; I got the bundle. I found the gameplay fun at times, but extremely repetitive and unrewarding. I expected a lot better from Bungie as I've been a fan of their work dating back to the original Halo. The game was just so broken fundamentally, it still boggles my mind. So many bad decisions, that are obviously bad, made it into the game. I've heard the game may have had a rough development cycle similar to Halo 2, another game I also greatly disliked from them. I can't say if that's true or not, but it seems more likely than not at this point.

So, the idea of having to pay an extra $35 or more on expansions to supplement an already incomplete game was just unacceptable to me. I refused to give them any more money and ended up selling the game for $45. It wasn't a complete loss financially, but I did lose a lot of respect for Bungie. With the switch to PlayStation this generation, I had already said goodbye to Halo and 343i's [bad] interpretation of it. I suppose now I'll also be saying goodbye to Bungie for the next ten years unless they do some seriously overhauling with Destiny's sequel. :(

That DLC pricing. Wow.

A straight up $20 to £20 swap for the UK?

That's just insulting.

So if you're an Xbone user in the U.K., you're paying the most amount of money for the least amount of content. Excellent.

I have the PS4, but that's straight up shoddy business ethics.

No it has just turned into a bashing thread.  For whatever reason it is just bashing the game for every bit of information that comes out.  The dlc is just not three story missions a new level cap and a raid.  No it is adding a new multiplayer mode five new strikes twenty new weapons five of which are exotic.  New armor to grab and during the raid it has been leeked that there will be a massive ogre which during instead of fighting you will need to hop on sparrows and run away from it.  I understand the game has its flaws but why bash a game that we have all played so much and not give the devs a chance before the next big thing comes for destiny.  When that dlc comes out and it is bad then sure you have the right to be mad but just wait instead of nitpicking every detail that comes out.

^ imo, I think the biggest insult is that U.K. players will be paying $12 more for the same amount of content for no reason other than location. I'm actually looking forward to seeing what the DLC has to offer, even if the price is a little steep, since I bought the L.E. version of Destiny anyway.

Yeah that is dumb but this is not a destiny problem this is on Microsoft's/Sony's side.  This has been happening ever since the release of the current gen consoles.  I hope it changes because u.k players are getting screwed.

You have to wait on a game to see if it will become what you want it to be.  I was very big into a game on PC that is called War Thunder (a WW2 PVP plane sim), I joined in the game when it was around update 1.29.  Around that time it was a really fun game and I played it nonstop (this was early 2013) patches kept coming out where they had some good things in it but mostly drawbacks and you could see the games population start to drop.  Around the time I joined there were about 140 thousand people that would log on a day.  When update 1.37 came out it really fucked up a lot of the games internal mechanics and completely changed the way you level up and acquire many of the planes in the game.   This update made a looooot of people quit, so much that the daily about population drop a hundred thousand people.  No one was happy about it including me but I decided to stick with but eventually gave up because even updates after that it did not get any better.  But as a last ditch effort they released a PVP mode with tanks which was a lot of fun.  It really dragged me back into the game (as well as increasing the player base)and I think the game is at update 1.43 at the moment.  I haven't played the game in a little while but sadly i believe that the player base has dropped to about twenty thousand people a day just because people are moving on to other games.  So don't just give up on a game early in its life cycle especially like destiny where it has an expected life cycle of ten years.

The DLC looks interesting but the fact that Xbox players are paying the exact same amount as PS players and getting less is just anti-consumer not to mention having to wait a full year to get all the content. Thing is Destiny is a fun game and I enjoy playing it but poor practices stop it from being a great game.

The PS strike looks alright but the PS exclusive I want is the exotic hand cannon hawkmoon which looks pretty cool.

I am amused by people saying "It's a good thing that PS is getting something first instead of those silly Xbone people". Yes, Xbox does get more exclusive content, but the vast majority of them are only exclusive for about a month.

Unless of course we're talking about a Bethesda game, then PS users are just **** out of luck.

Having to wait an entire year to get content is stretching it a bit.

Again, unless we're talking about a Bethesda game...then PS users have already been there.

The way I see it, if people are unhappy with how Destiny is going, they should avoid playing it and voice their concerns.

You don't change anything by "having faith", you change things by taking a stand. You change things by saying why things need changing, you change things by making suggestions, you change things by using your wallet.

The gaming industry wants us to "have faith", and thats how they win.

I love that argument...it just seems so useful...

I actually went on a whole tangent explaining why it's silly in another thread, but I'm too lazy to rewrite it.
