This is why people are laughing and basically blowing them off.

The amount of Destiny articles on Eurogamer every week is ****** ridiculous. The people posting in the comments don't even care anymore and just make fun of Eurogamer. I don't know why they have such a hard on for this game. But then again, I don't know why people like John Cena either.

*snip*

Activision is WWE, Destiny is John Cena, the vast majority of the people online complaining are the UK-specific fans that love wrestling and hate sports entertainment, and then when Destiny 2 comes out, Activision is gonna think THIS is a good idea-

Spoiler

Yeah, thats real. Yeah, thats after him missing ONE Raw. Yeah, Activision's gonna do something THAT dumb.

Actually, Activision already did something dumb with how they treated the first release. I have no faith going forward.

Yeah, they expect you to read it all instead of actually experiencing it with in-game narrative.

They didn't get the memo that lore works so well in Bethesda games because it accompanies a story. The lore isn't the story itself.

Ah, well. Washing my hands of it.

Aye, there is lore out the *expletive* in say an Elder Scrolls game, and it works because it accompanies the light narrative that permeates the actual game being played. The lore is like that super delicious sauce in that burger you're eating;sure the meat is the most important part of that sandwich, but the sauce is why you're really buying it.

Destiny is a burger with no meat, just bread and sauce in packets. That you have to go to the counter to get. After politely asking an employee working the place. And they have to go around the corner and bother someone to get it.

And then its not even the sauce you wanted.

What the hell am I even saying

Yeah, I can move on because I figure that sometimes in life you get a banana when you really wanted an orange. I mean, it's not what you wanted, but it's still fruit. So you should make yourself a life smoothie....or something.

I've lost track of what I was saying, but I am now very thirsty.

Now I want a burger and a smoothie. Frack.

Destiny cannot fulfill my appetite, thus it offends

They might have LotR level lore, but they definitely don't share the same level narrative. LotR actually has a story, for one.

Really disappointed that they announced the development of Destiny 2 two months after release. imo Destiny is a fun game with lots of potential but the unethical businesses practices such as having xbox players wait a whole year for a strike in the upcoming DLC and the lack of fixing problems that shouldn't exist in the first place prevents Destiny from being a great game. That being said since Activision is the publisher it comes as no surprise that they want another selling machine like CoD.

From the video where that brilliant laugh comes from;New Jack is gamers, Activision and Destiny are Jasmine St. Claire.

I'm having more fun reading this thread than playing Destiny. Oh hell, I just realised. This thread has a better story than Destiny! :o

I've got to wonder if the lead writer took that LOTR-sized narrative with him when he left to find Rivendell. Or did some intern drop it in the Anduin. References!

In other news my madness continues, as I spent a couple hours last night doing a couple of bounties on my Warlock and then the same bounties on my Titan. I don't really know why.

To be fair, a more realistic one is if there was one fat guy wearing a really flashy suit in the group, and he would be Destiny.

You just can't kinda help but cheer him on so he at least isn't a complete loser.

The one who tripped would probably be Titanfall.

LOL. That's why I dismantled all my Legendary and Exotic armour pieces for both non-Titan classes, lest I do something stupid like create a Hunter or Warlock. I'm enjoying the game well enough for what it is but I think I'd rather ram my head through a wall than grind another character.

The story while levelling another character is not too bad if you do all the Strikes and missions along the way. I did it last week with a Titan and he jumped 20 to 24 with all the armor I'd saved. I'll probably come back later and make a Hunter at some point.

But with the story over I thought, do I really want to repeat missions just to level up equipment? Then I went back to ME3 multiplayer so I could... uh... get more equipment.

I still can't even do the Moon Strike mission. That dumb end boss destroys me every time, and I can't seem to put a dent in him.

Does anyone actually even play this "game"? AHEM. I mean trash.

What a failure. Thank God the Master Chief Collection is realising soon, I honestly expect to be completely dead once it's out

It is a game.

A very bare bones game, that...

No, I can't really go any further than bare bones, that's how bare bones it is. It's free of glitches if you discount the raid, that's more than most games these days can say.

That said, they are some strong bones, but you can only chew on bones for so long before you move to a different carrion.

Where am I going with this again?
