It appears that there is another DLC, Comet, it is scheduled for September. It might (the reason I say might is because things change over the course of development) bring 12 new story missions; three strikes; one raid; one patrol; one public event; three new sub-classes; and the increase of "Base Level" to 30.

In addition to Comet, there are two more DLC scheduled after that, but they are unreadable in the image.

Yeap, I think that was in the contract, but I don't remember if it was before or after Destiny 2.

Yeap, I think that was in the contract, but I don't remember if it was before or after Destiny 2.

I think it'll be before Destiny 2, didn't the contract state they were going to release a new Destiny game every two years? Of course, if memory serves, they were late a year on releasing Destiny...

Edit: Here it is, but I don't know what it means since Destiny 1 was late:  "Destiny will consist of a series of four MMO-style "sci-fantasy action shooter" titles, released every other year beginning in Fall 2013."

Source: http://destiny.wikia...vision_Contract

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Other points from the contract:

*"Destiny" is the operating title for Bungie's next project.

*Destiny will consist of a series of four MMO-style "sci-fantasy action shooter" titles, released every other year beginning in Fall 2013.

*Expansion pack-style downloadable content (DLC), code named "Comet," will be released every other year beginning in 2014.

*Destiny will feature a number of DLCs, microtransactions, and value-added paid services.

*Destiny is targeting a "Teen" rating from the ESRB in the United States and a PEGI16 rating in Europe.

*Activision, as previously confirmed, retains the exclusive right to publish all Destiny titles. However, Bungie retains ownership of the Destiny intellectual property regardless of its relationship with Activision.

*Bungie will receive $2.5 million per year from 2010 through 2013 to develop Destiny.

*Bungie will receive between 20 and 35% of cumulative operating income for Destiny, depending on the total amount of income.

*Bungie is eligible for a number of performance and sales-based bonuses depending on Destiny meeting certain development milestones and sales goals.

________________________________________________________________________________________

Edit 2: So Comet is just a placeholder code name.

A film based in the Destiny universe I think would work.

I logged into Destiny today to see what this holiday gift was. It was a random legendary. Just in case anyone wondered.

So many hopes, so much potential.

A Legendary that doesn't shoot elves and isn't shaped like a candy cane. And it doesn't even have a Santa hat on it. =[

I still enjoy playing this game from time to time. It will never hook me the way Bungie wanted it to, though.

Plus, getting a free Legendary pulse rifle was nice.

Hmm, yeah, I will admit I had a bit of fun just running around with the legendary scout rifle I got, shooting aliens in the face for a while.

I obviously had hoped Destiny was going to be a big thing which would draw me into a deep sci-fi world for a long time. Technically it did, just via the gameplay not the story or content. Still not going to buy the dlc though, the price is too high for the content. Maybe if the UK was getting it based on the exchange rate, but £20 is not equivalent to $20.

Yeah, that's totally not cool. I'm not sure what the exchange rate is, but from what I've heard, you're basically paying $30 while I pay $20.

How? There is 0 lore, and 0 story. It would be a terrible movie. Maybe even worse than Mario Brothers

They can insert the plot into the movie and save themselves the trouble for Destiny 2.

*sigh*

There is so much nonsense to deconstruct in this post that I don't even know where to begin.

First of all, that poster said that:

Based in the universe. He didn't say they should rip the plot from the game and make it a movie. Second, there is plenty of lore in the Destiny universe, you just have to go to Bungie's web site and read about it instead of it being featured in a Codex-style menu in the game, which was one of Bungie's biggest mistakes, in my opinion; despite the fact that I still enjoy and play the hell out of the game, even with its flaws. Most players would be and are too lazy to read the Grimoire cards (which contain a lot of interesting stuff, anyone who plays the game should read some of them, at least)--much less visit their web site to do so--so I think they should've hired someone to basically read the Grimoire cards to players in the game.

Third, there is no way a Destiny movie would be worse than Mario Brothers. That is lunacy.

You'd probably have to enter the code on the back of your movie ticket online to understand the plot of the film

You, for the PS3/4, could make an alternative account based in the U.S., then buy a prepaid card online and purchase the DLC with that.

...It's how I bought the Drakengard 3 DLC.

Heh, damn, this kid got his guardians deleted when he play shared with a stranger. Skip to 13:30 below.

Here's GameInformer take on what happened.

I was young and stupid once, so, in that sense, I feel for the kid, sure. But I can't stand online boosters, and because of that I find it hard to feel sorry for him.

I don't mean this in a snarky way and I hope that I don't come across as a horse's petute, but I hope that he learned the valuable lesson of not to be so trusting with his personal information.

They also announced that there will be NO RAID with this dlc. The "Arena" is a 3 man strike/horde mode that is taking it's place instead so I wouldn't be too excited. A couple story missions and pvp maps, 3 exotic weapons and a strike are unfortunately not enough to save this game.

But at least it will have 30 new ships to collect though.... :(
