I always thought the raids were a waste of time. I only played the game for the pvp.

PVP is the worst part about the game IMO.  If it didn't have the peer-to-peer issues then it would be a blast, but as of now, it's terrible.  I'm great at it, but it's terrible.  Plus, you usually only see Thorn and Felwinter people running around thinking they're good at the game.

PVE content needs a lot of work and I thought the raids were the best of what Destiny had to offer, excluding bugs.  I'm excited for this "arena", but I would of preferred a new raid.

I'm like man, how much did they pay him for this? lol

Either Peter Dinklage didn't care or the voice over director is bad at directing.

I just don't understand how something involving Bungie and Peter Dinklage can be so lifeless

It had everything else. Great mechanics, interesting classes, tuned for cooperation, good design, but it just didn't have life, man.

The peer to peer doesn't bug me. Being forced to raid to get the best gear does.

That game is definitely lifeless. There's just...nothing.

Freaking Titanfall had more going on. lol

You and I have a different definition for life then in games. I thought Dinklebot did a great job. I think people's expectations are too high now adays for games.

I miss running around PVP with my Last Word and Thorn. That was fun.

I usually don't diss Titanfall because it knew what it was from the beginning. It never pretended to be anything else.

Destiny, on the other hand...

Dinklebot was monotone as hell. He was the epitome of terrible. Thats why he ended up on so many lists of "Top ten worst voice acting in games" lists.

Aye, Titanfall didn't false advertise or lead people on.

We knew before the game launched it would have no single player or true campaign with cutscenes and such. They TOLD us this.

Bungie? Destiny? Nah, lets have them believe they're getting the game that was advertised even though we changed everything.

Screw that noise.

Thats not an excuse when we've had excellent characters of artificial intelligence in past games with personality, mannerisms, and life.

That might be a fair thing to say. I just felt like his emotion didn't match what was going on in the game, though I think that has a lot to do with the action going on in the game. He'd deliver lines intensely in situations where you are just hanging back and sniping three guys. It was enough of a disconnect for me to notice, and I usually don't notice things like that.

I feel like I went on a tangent.

This is why Devs hate talking to players. Everyone gets hurt so easily these days. Everyone is making it seem  like it's the worst game in existence, and I am not even a Bungie fanboy. The only thing I like about them was something they didn't even make, and that's RvB. Halo in itself is boring to me.

The Vault of Glass raid was the only thing actually special about this game I felt, at least at normal difficulty. Hard Mode had the same problem as the high level strikes, just a slow tedious grind.

RvB isn't even Bungie, thats all Roosterteeth. But at least Halo had a rich lore and story backing the gameplay segments and there's much to experience beyond shooting things if you're up for it.

Destiny's terrible at any of that. If I'm playing an Elder Scrolls or Dragon Age game and I pick up an item in game and it tells me, "To read this, visit the TES/DA wiki!" I'm gonna laugh and forget about it.

It neglected a lot of things that I like that I thought were going to be in there. Part of it is my fault for not playing the beta, but now I have the game forever. The only thing I can do about my disappointment is express it on forums every now and then. What's so wrong with that?

I know. I fixed my post on that. Halo just seems meh to me even with all the lore I read. Destiny's combat is fun though.

I don't have the time to explain how much time I don't have to explain how much I disagree with this. LOL.

Well, we'll agree to disagree. I'm not gonna accept a terrible performance of voice over work and emotionless acting+nonsensical relation to in game events because the character happens to be artificial in nature. That'll just promote more of it in the future and I gotta give a LOLNOPE to more of it.

ROFL

That was such a dumb line(in-game) but it perfectly encapsulated Destiny as a whole.

There is nothing wrong about doing that. Just don't make it seem like it was Duke Nukem Forever bad.

Fair enough. It's pretty much a Call of Duty to me. Nothing really special, but it does what it wants to do well. It's simply too bad it isn't more than that.
