Light levels annoyed me, but I haven't played since November since I don't have a functional PS4, so I don't know if they made that better or not.

But hey, the whole game's a mess. This is just proving people right. I mean dang, they're gonna retroactively remove one voice actor from a game and replace him with another. I can't remember the last time that happened.

Hah, people are brutal. They're just trying fix things that didn't work. Who knows, maybe a light-less version of this game will be more fun. Think of it as the sequel. A COD sequel. They are adding a new coat of paint and changing some features around. Thats the FPS genre in a nutshell these days.

How can anyone think of it as a sequel? Removal of Dinklebot, removal of light levels, retaining the complete lack of good storytelling or...actually any storytelling in the first place;its just more lol-worthy material.

That is one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is that they are recording more lines, which means more story, and they parted ways with a voice actor who wasn't working out on the project, and they cared enough to change the lines in-game to make it more consistent later. Removal of light levels could mean that there will be less reliance on the RNG, and thus, less reliance on strikes. Maybe you can start wearing different armor sets instead of your four good pieces. Who knows? The future is full of possibilities! : D

I am assuming Dinklage was replaced due to Game of Thrones and not being able to get him back. I don't know if its bad but they do explain to keep our **** for Taken King.

 

This will be my last run on Destiny if it still fails.

I don't know how it is now, but I did find the gameplay awesome. Shooting felt so satisfying to me in that game and so did the strikes. I just wish they didn't make stupid design decisions such as skipping on the story and expecting everyone to do the same thing over and over and over.

They could have at least had a codex type system where you could access it in game. The lore is very interesting, don't get me wrong, but I think it needs to be accessed from the game. 

 

The game has soooo much potential. However, that is all it is. Potential. TTK will decide if Destiny can be revived or if it will be killed.

Apparently it sounds like the Ghost will be able to access the Grimorie I think

The thing I'm wondering about is, the way they say that now you'll be able to level to 40 without the light system, getting rid of the level 20 soft cap. It makes me think it's just another temporary change which will change again when the dlc after TTK comes out.

 

They only introduced the ascending mechanic with HoW and that's being abandoned as well. So keeping your current gear is still useless when TTK is out, just for slightly different reasons. The weapons at least in TTK are going to be superior again (like the difference between vanilla weapons and dark below weapons before HoW came along).

 

They say they want people to not have to just use the same stuff as everyone else, but why would you want to wear gear that's only as good as HoW max if the TTK gear is better?

 

I'm still not buying TTK. But clearly the only way to compete is to buy it.

According to Bungie’s career page, the studio is currently looking to hire a “PC Compatibility Tester” to be in charge of assessing a video game’s condition on computers. While the job’s responsibilities are similar to a Quality Assurance position, this one is more specific in that its priority lies in making sure a title works for PC.

There isn't going to be alot of Cinematics in Destiny I am sure so I will enjoy them when the DLC is released lol.

 

I do kinda hope that Digital users can enjoy the DLC earlier because I feel screwed rolling with the digital copies lol. Which is why I am starting to steer away from them because Digital would be better if it meant earlier access too.

They did do TDB at midnight, but HoW at 10am their time. But those were digital only. TTK will be physical as well as digital, and I'm sure some places will be doing midnight launches, so I think there's a good chance that you'll be able to start playing at midnight this time around. It wouldn't make sense to sell us on Red Bull if we weren't able to stay up through the night playing TTK

I was honestly convinced a month ago that vault space would be a deal breaker, but now... yeah, not so much. Great interview by IGN, it has to be said, considering I usually write them off when it comes to these sort of things.

I was mesmerized by watching the Warlock battling with the new ability tree. I hope they tell us the inspirations for making the classes and I will call their BS if Warlock one is nothing other than Star Wars lol.

 

I think it was cool to know that everyone at level 34 will stay level 34 despite the light level going towards something different.

Don't be a fool you forgot that Bungie is making the same mistake as they did with The Dark Below and the release of Destiny. They tell us they are adding a whole new set of arsenals for us to use but what they don't say is that they leaving behind all of Year 1 stuff including 2/3 of your exotics you spent endless hours getting.
