I've been doing some thinking, and I have thought of a simple little mod to make the experience of Dragon Age improve quite a fair amount.

Leliana's song is very nice and emotional-- ushering in sadness and hope into the experience, and making many a man start remembering that time his father was shot by Serbian revolutionaries...

Back on topic; after the song is first played it cannot be seen again, it cannot be enjoyed by the same character (Unless you use saves, but then you have little repetition value, you having to play it at the same time period). I don't know about the community here, but  I am scratching my head at the thought that no one at all has addressed this.

I am not a modder or a programmer, but I know enough to know that Leliana's song is contained within audio and dialogue files in the game's files, anyone who (unlike me) has experience with scripts and files in games could quickly create a dialogue option to be used in camp, playing the cutscene of Leliana's song again!

I still am confused on the fact that this has not been done, so could someone pl;ease waste their time to make this? It would  earn you one whole internet!

EDIT: This topic is no longer needed, apologies for spam! The mod is here.

I thought that cutscene was pretty horrible.  All it did was show how selfish and self centered all the companions were.

By the time she sings the companions have all shed a decent amount of blood together.  It doesn't make sense for them to be all so stand offish when she sings.

That song is the worst part of the game. I have had many playthroughs and have skipped it everytime

LOL this kinda of garbage just proves my point that this game will never have meaningful player made content. Everyone just tinkers around with the campaign and models but who the hell is going to make content that they cant even play with their friends. Just creating an interesting bestiary is an overwhelming job(since your starting from scratch >.<)

That song was one of the most awesome emotional connections I felt with the game. I had a saved game just before it happened, and I am glad I did since I have watched/listened several times already!

OP: Don't feel bad for not knowing it had been done already -- I didn't know either and I am betting we aren't the only 2 :)

The same people that made Hall of Fame single player modules for Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights 2, among others, since a good number of people that buy games that have a multi-player component never even make use of it. Why do you think DA has a single player focus?

I don't really care too much about content that I can play with my friends, because I bought a single player game.  Admittedly, I haven't been ecstatic about a lot of the custom content so far, mainly because I value the eye candy of different hairstyles or a few changes faces/hairstyles less than new stories and quests.  That's not to say I don't appreciate the hard work of those modders, and I commend their work and dedication. Heck, I even run some of the improved appearance mods, but I have to confess that I prefer new playable modules.
