At least most characters are wearing shoes. Feet take more punishment than hands.

The hands in DAO were especially awesome if you played as a Dwarf. Not only were they huge, but the arms were waaaaay too long. I think my Dwarf could have probably touched the ground if she wanted to.
Lots of work.
Must be done.

An unintended consequence arises here. If the hands are still a mess and we get horses, how could we possibly get an accurate measurement of them since we measure horses by hands, not feet.LPPrince wrote...

Good point. I remember going through the Tower of London thinking about how interesting it must have been to live back then until I saw the nasty hole that was the toilet I saw climbing up one of the spiral staircases. Lots of dirt, disease, VD, etc, gets forgotten in the shuffle of magic, heroes, and a grand adventure.LadyRaena13 wrote...
...I know this is going to sound awful and I'm not taking sides here BUT...think about the time period and the lack of cleanliness they would probably have really nice hands if they washed them...and put some lotion on them. But most of the character's hands we saw were workers and lived in hovels. Think about it! All the darkness and blotches are dirt, dried blood, and they are IN the folds or wrinkles of the skin

They're even in ME3. Guess it's a tradition.

I had actually once noticed Aveline's hands...but I attempted to put it out of my mind. I only noticed Bethany's and Isabela's after the posts here...

I can't remember Aveline's hands. I guess I should be thankful.

Excuse me, but DA2 had normal hands. I'm not sure about what was used to take those screens, and which textures what used, but here is the unmodded (normal textures, PC) screen of Anders+Hawke![]()
I'm very sensitive, when it comes to man's hands, the only nightmare hands I cna think of belong to ME3 characters. THAT was really bad.
Yup, vanilla hi-res textures here!
Oh haaaaaaands!
Well I thought they looked pretty good on the overall:

Even though Bethany's indeed in her first outfit look a bit weird:

I thought Merrill's nail polish felt out of place, but why not:

My main problem with DA hands in general is that they look too big compared to the rest of the body, but it really depends on the perspective:

Vanilla ME3's:

And modded:

Forgot Frostbite 3's supposed to be hard to mod for
Then again I play on console so it doesn't matter for me directly
But I feel for my PC brethren.

I have a feeling it isn't that hard to mod if they released a toolset, but I think they don't want people to be able to access all the coding and whatever else and find ways to transfer that ish into hacking BF and other games that will find themselves running on the engine.
