Apparently going to the circle was the cure for Bethany's hands.
See, this is yet more evidence that the Circles are necessary.
The one on the top left corner is a claw. It's literally a claw, you can even see membranes uniting the fingers.

Most men never looked at Bethany or Isabela's hands anyway. They could have given them hooks and we would have only noticed on our 2nd play though.
This is true. I did not notice Isabela's Hands of Terror til sometime during my third playthrough.

This is probably the most convincing argument for me why Circles are useful. If they fix the hand issue i'll be thinking about them way more

I'm sure there are dozens more out there.
FWIW, all those games came out after DA2. I'm optimistic the Frostbite engine will be able to handle the problem. :innocent:

It is not a problem of the engine, it is a problem of the people using that engine. They are the ones that need an update, aka learn things.Cigne wrote...

The real question is: Now that the circles no longer exist, is there any hope?

Using your argument, (and playing a little devil's advocate) here are some examples of games that are older.Cigne wrote...

DA2 was released on March 11, 2011.
Heavenly Sword (September 2007)

Lost Odyssey (Feb 2008)

Resident Evil 5 (March 2009)

I don't know that release date or the engine used are necessarily the culprits here.

Sorry but Leonardo didn't modify, he said that the blade used to require a sacrifice to be used but the design had been modified. Altair was the one who did it I think, he wrote in the codex that if the blade can be used whithout loosing a finger then they wouldn't demand that it's cut.BouncyFrag wrote...
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood was not the friend of those who would like to keep all of their digits and bring the fight to the Templars. It is a good thing Ezio's buddy Leonardo da Vinci altered the hidden blade mechanism for him, but only him.

Hey! I was playing devil's advocate!
And continuing, the engine does seem part of the problem. They needed to adapt the engine to be more console friendly; wasn't the only issue with DAO being that the hands were oversized? And that was a design choice.

Nice catch. I think the biggest improvement the Assassin's made was learning how to swim. The original AC made me rage so much at times. lolAm1_vf wrote...
