Thanks for taking a look at it, Cara. Point is, most of the time it works fine, I'm sure of that. But now I'm also convinced that sometimes it bugs out. It's not gonna be easy to track the reason for that... :unsure:

.......every power in the game randomly bugs out. It's not a problem with biotic focus, trust me.

IMO its similar to the vanguard instant down on charge. Going off of in game experience only, powers which restore shields can sometimes fail to give immunity frames when used right after you get health gated (biotic charge, focus, and shield boost).

No idea why, or if that actually is correct, though.

it's a possibility actually. i should look into how shieldgate immunity works...

Don't worry Deerber, I believe you (I assume you'll mail my check to me soon). I mean, in a game with this many bugs it's hardly surprising that stuff like this happens occasionally.

As far as I know, the invincibility frame is there to make sure the shield is filled. (unlike Adrenaline rush refill)
So.. if you saw the shiled gauge going up, it worked properly according to my book.
0.5 second buddy.

This is part of the reason I prefer the full-duration damage reduction, speed, and extra melee strength in 6b. Personally I think the rank 6a needs a buff. If the TGI and AIU can do it, there's not reason the Cabal shouldn't have 100% full shield regen and a full second of invulnerability, maybe more. .5 sec is very little time.

The other reasons being that is makes it easier to active the 25% weapon damage in rank 6 melee, I love speed, and how survivable she is with a 45% damage reduction when firing a Hurricane from hard cover.

I don't care what it's there for and what it's not there for. It's 0.5 secs. Not 0.1. It didn't work, at least not properly.

I posted a video test above where i-frame works after both health and shield gates have been breached, don't know about volus.

I do agree wtih this. I don't see why bioware consistently thinks that moving a power to a non-cooldown dependent grenade allows for a significantly higher power level, when I sorta think it should be the other way around.

My guess is if health gate and shield gate are on cooldown and the damage received exceeds health and shields regained after modifiers you lose your I-frame. I have had it happen with Volus that I don't spec into damage reduction.

It's a design leftover from the game's launch era, when kits could only carry a max of four grenades, and most people could only carry 2 thermal clips, meaning grenadiers were totaly dependent on ammo crates, and many of the launch maps only gave one grenade per crate.
Many players actually specced out of grenades completly because of this, which is why bioware buffed them so much.
