PC ME2: keymappings, port in general?

I think it is so sad that they simplified the keymappings to the degree they did. I know that consoles need this, but seriously. They should make some proper bindings for PC. Having Use/Cover/Sprint on one key is plain madness. Not having an quicksave key, or fast access to your other menus through binds.

It feels like a cheap port and that doesn't do ME1 justice at all. ME1 had its issues, many were corrected, but it feels like ME2 hasn't been tested enough and that quality has had little importance on the PC release.

Not being able to double-click, a forced vsync, mouse accel(even CS released in '98 had that option), mouse dampening and no sensitivity settings unless you edit config files manually. Even editing the config files has been made difficult since the size of the config file is reported to the game somehow and makes it crash if it doesn't match. You need 3rd party software to remedy that.

Something like: Mass Effect 2 Coalesced.ini fixer (no RubyInstall)

It honestly seems like Bioware has made an effort to make ME2 as rigid and console-like as possible.

Can't help but notice stuff like this came in after EA's involvement.

There is a quicksave key being on F5 by default on PC ( at least there is on mine ), beyond that i agree its a shame they decided to remove keyboard shortcuts to UI functions among other flaws.

Some people did, but you're talking about a game that is a few years old at this point.
