This list suggests that there are more good game stories than I've experienced. But aside from all of the usual suspects such as planescape and Fallout, the list included a bunch of other games that I have tried and don't really agree with. Original Baldurs Gate for example was actually kind of boring as a SP game, and Farenhiet was ****ing awful after the plot got derailed twice, which pretty much makes everything before hand bad by association. So these two additions to the list lead me to wonder if I should be wary of any of the other titles as I play through them all.
Also, I'd like to add the games Freespace 2 and the Homeworld games to the recommended pile. Freespace 2 was an arcade style space combat game where you fight against an alien invasion. Imagine if Shepard from Mass Effect were a star fighter pilot and you have a pretty good idea of the Freespace 2 plot, only FS2s ending was far more logical than ME3, thankfully.
Also, tthere was no mention of any of the Homeworld games (probably because GOG don't do Homeworld), which I believe were spectacular in so many ways.. Pity that HW2 didn't live up to the originals mysterious atmosphere and that it had some fairly questionable campaign design, but it was fairly solid overall, and faster paced.
Cool story, bros?

Yeah, I think that my sig has outlived it's purpose. It was from the early days of ME3 when all of the sensitive, delicate flowers were popping out of the wood work. Couldn't say a single thing without accidentally offending someone.

My name is Elton John is Dead, I'm a PC and E.A. Origin was my idea.
Now with that introduction over I'd like to say this:
Baldur's Gate: You were bored with it? How does that impact the plot? Admittedly the writing doesn't compare to later Bioware games (i.e Baldur's Gate 2 , NWN Hordes of the Underdark, Mass Effect, DA: Origins) and there wasn't much story focus on companions but the plot itself was great. The dreams in-between chapters also helped IMO to give you a perceptive of the story and the Baalspawn not to mention that the antagonist tbh was just a regular guy like you who had just learnt of his heritage and decided to use it for evil.
Just because you found it boring as a SP game doesn't mean it has a crap plot.
Fahrenheit: Well people have mixed reactions with this one then but most agree it had a good plot even if it got a little bit crazy towards the end. How can you mistrust the list when it's only going on what the majority say? If you played Omikron: The Nomad Soul (the first game Quantic Dream made) then you would know QD are known for their crazy stories. Heavy Rain was different in that is focused on the real world and nothing supernatural.
Christ man, they even had David Bowie singing in Omikron...
