I was wondering if any one could help me with an issue I have. I hate that a high strength gives PC's an incredible weight advantage for encumbrance. Has anyone come up with or have any ideas on a system that would limit the weight bonus but still give the combat bonuses of strength?

Well not exactly targeted as high strength, I have a coin system where gold has weight. My PCs must eat and drink as well - all that food and water eats up encumbrance allowance. They can still carry a lot, but they carry more items that enhance the role playing aspect, instead of four suits of armor and nine swords.

I use similar system where food and drink have weight. This works to balance classes, keeps players from camping in dungeons for loot, and works to keep the carried items lower.

you can modify weight limits in encumbrance.2da file

Thanks for the responses Dm_V, and 3Ravens. I do similar as you, but what I am getting at is having like 6000 lb. maxes with fighter types. While adding weight to coin and food and such helps, it creates issues for mages and such.
ShaDoOow, thanks I'll look into modifying the 2da's. Will that affect what players on my PW will need?
