That's what makes her personality so unappealing to me. It's not endearing, it's obnoxious as hell.

If a character doesn't have a romance (or the suggestion of one), discussion about them falls by the wayside...even if people really like these characters. Best examples are Mordin or Wrex. Both characters are definitely fan favorites, but they didn't even have a character support thread in the "Character and Romance Discussion" forum, I think.

Come on, it's Tali. Together with her loveable character and great romance, she's also perhaps the most good looking character;)

That's not the problem; 29 to 24 isn't so bad. The problem is the voice acting, which is terrible, and the dialogue, which isn't much better; Shepard comes across like he doesn't have the first idea of what Tali is risking through this and how much he evidently means to her.

unless the council is OK with having a movie out depicting a Turian officer banging a quarian underage girl (fleet and flotilla) then I would say it is safe to assume that they are of age once they get on pilgrimage.

i dont think uncanny valley applies to joker because of his condition. i also took his "antics" about her being hot as just a show.

i enjoy EDI's personality. its something i could talk to most likely for the rest of my life and we still wouldnt have discussed everything

I was in a relationship for a time with a woman who was about 11 years older than me. I'm 24 right now, and I actually prefer women who are about 2 to 10 years older than me.

Hell, look at Liara/Shepard romances: 77 year age difference right there.

Shepard is 4 years younger than Miranda (though 4 years isn't a huge difference)

On the whole Shepard is actually younger than most of the Love Interests with the exceptions being Tali and Samantha, that I know of - I know Kaidan is a few years older, Garrus is most definately older, Liara and Samara, obviously, Jacob most likely... What about Ashley and Jack?

It's definitely possible.

I knew a 1SGT in the Army who fell in love with a PFC. He had about 25 years in and was about to retire ( was 44 years old), and she had only been in the Army for about a year and half (she was 21 years old). That was about 3 years ago. To the best of my knowledge, she's a Sergeant now in the National Guard and they're married, though they had to wait until he was retired to actually make their relationship official. I think they have a kid too.

23 year age gap.

What I dislike about Tali is the way they take her virginity and difficulty having sex and turn it into a romantic selling point. Been there done that, and I don't appreciate it being used in game the way it is.

Since I don't play MaleShep, because ew, I have to wonder how exactly that... works.

Liara is a virgin in ME1, but it gets mentioned all of once and is swiftly dropped. Is it about the same thing?

Going with ME1 (2183) using Shepard as a comparison at 29 (or 28) years old during in ME1. Shepard was born in 2154. I added the younger age to account for the possibility of not having reached a birthday as well.

Miranda is 32 or 33, having been born in 2150.

Ashley is 24 or 25 having been born in 2158.

Kaidan is 31 or 32 having been born in 2151.

Jack is 21 or 22 having been born in 2161.

Tali is 21 or 22 having been born in 2161.

Jacob is 25 or 26 having been born in 2157.

Garrus' age is never stated.

Liara is 106 (she states herself to be 106) having been born in 2077.

Samara is stated to be 'nearly 1000 years old'. By the time we meet her, 2-3 years age difference is meaningless.

James' age is never given, though if I had to guess, in ME3 I'd say he's around 25 or 26 years old. So I'd say that in ME1, he's about 22 or 23.

Thane is 36 or 37 having been born in 2146.

Morinth was born during Earth's 18th Century (1700's), so she's anywhere from 400 - 500 years old.

Javik is of course over 50,000 years old. If I had to estimate his age and translate it to human terms, I'd say that he's the equivalent of a man who is in his mid to late 30's or early 40's.

Same life expectancy, so presumably it's the same. Quarians 'reach adult' later, because they can't just send off a 17 or 18 year old.

Eh, it's personal preference. I prefer women of roughly the same age, you prefer more mature women. I prefer Persian women, you date only caucasian. At the end of the day it doesn't matter as long as your happy.

Isn't Garrus at LEAST in his mid to late 30s? I know he went through turian conscription and the mass effect wikia states that is for 15 years starting at the age of 15.

Throw in that he's a detective and while I imagine turians aren't as hung about experience determining rank, he still would have to had to been a beat cop for several years before moving up the relatively high ranking detective (he's on a 1st name basis with the chief of police...most detectives never ever meet the actual chief of police).
