Par Vollen isn't the Qunari Homeland. Also the darkspawn go where the Old Gods are. For all we know an Old God could be buried under the Qunar homeland and if it is the darspawn will dig for it until they find it.

Bioware, I feel as though the Dalish have had enough punishment throughout the span of both DA:O and DA2.
The elves are undoubtedly the buttmonkeys of Thedas, and they deserve a break once in a while, right?

So why not, instead of providing us with the option to annihilate yet another Dalish clan, we have the option of wiping out a group of Qunari?  Perhaps they are a group of spys trying to scope out what is happening with the Veil tear, and we get a chance to destroy them before they can report their findings to the Arishok/Ariqun.

Or maybe they are a pre-invasion scouting force, and we get to destroy them before they can report back.
Being able to pretend to side with them, only to turn on them in the end would be awesome.

Somehow being able to re-direct the demonic hordes away from Thedas and onto the Par Vollen mainland would be just splendid.

Before anyone accuses me of promoting genocide (again lol) I hope you realize that the Qunari are just waiting for an opportunity to invade Thedas. They will slaughter all who oppose them, so wiping them out before they can wipe everyone else out would be in Thedas' best interest. The Qun is the enemy of all free-thinking society and must be stopped whatever the cost.

I have a question.. Are people just wanting to killed the horned/kossith dudes/people? Becaussseeee aren't most Qunari agents in different lands not "kossith" at all? We could end up just killing a bunch of elves, humans and nugs who are Qunari scouts. I bet a lot of them are women, too.  I wouldn't mind killing Tallis, tbh. I'm sure her little list wasn't full of horned peepz.

If the Blight struck Qunari, I think they could handle the darkspawn armies better than most. But the Grey Wardens would still arrive to stop the Archdemon. Once they learn the Wardens are the only way to stop a tainted Old God (I'd think they'd figure that out pretty quick. Even Rasikale or Lusacan would probably suffer under Gaatlok attacks), they'd try to adopt a similar strategy. Qunari have shown before they can cooperate with bas they respect on a case by case basis if they have similar goals. If they respect the notion of an order who's role is to kill the darkspawn they might even try to reach an agreement with the wardens when it comes to darkspawn. Because if Par Vollen is ravaged by a Blight, they are definitely going to start including dedicated darkspawn killers in their antaam's roles.

The problem aint the qunari, the problem is whats the qunari running from?

That aside i never killed the Arishok in my main play through, i gave him the book and isobela an he left peacefully.

What can i say i like killing elves, if im left disappointed with the lack of killing them in DAI so be it

The way the DA series is playing out reminds me of a series of books i read awhile back, just a pity i cannae mind the titles will need to look them up

It actually would not matter to me what race/gender combo said group of Qunari were comprised of. So long as they follow the Qun, and plan on reporting back to Par Vollen, I would like the chance to wipe them out.

I don't hate the horned people. I just hate the Qun.
It would have been awesome to rally all of the Tal-Vashoth on the Wounded Coast and have them join Hawke in taking the Arishok down.

The Qunari are running from themselves. From what they used to be. They hide behind their false ideologies.

I was just wondering because, to me, it seems like most people are more interested in killing the horned people and there must hornless/multiple races of Qunari who are just as "beastly" as the horned ones are depicted. I don't really see Sten as counting in this case.

I (for some unknown reason) liked, and respected the Arishok in DA2 and didn't want to fight him :'-(

So, for me:

(18 sec "long" video)

edit: Also, he is one of my favourite characters in DA2

We're supposed to be recruiting allies in a world distracted by internal and external strife. It's always possible that we'll be able to recruit/annihilate the Dalish/Qunari, both, or neither. Imagine the drama around *that* council table!

Traitor!!!!  Have fun with your restrictive, stifling role withing the Qun, and take comfort  in the knowledge that you had a hand in wiping out and lobotomizing all of Thedas.

See, this is why I knew coming in not to take this thread seriously. You're operating from a bias and not from some system of equality.

The Qunari do seem to be picked on a lot.

I'd like to have an option of helping Qunari conquer Tevinter because anyone who has business with demons is bad news. I hope this conflict would weaken Qunari enough to have no resources to attack Ferelden, Orlais etc.

No

A Sten referrence, I presume?
Can't wait to take him down if he tries to invade.

It's actually a reference to the best character in DA2 Arishok

Sten too because he likes cookies

If by best character you mean the biggest buffoon.  The Arishok was stupid, arrogant, incompetant and a drunk.

We have mages that have been turned into demons for that purpose.  Lets free all the mages!

Are the Kossith the original makers of the Qun? If not who is? If Par Vollen isn't their homeland, then what is their homeland?

I vote for no genocide or annihalation at all...

It may sound weird but I actually like the Qun. Very practical, organized and everything. Sure, it has it's perks considering mages, but individualism leads to competition and competition ultimately leads to war and war only. Oh and war means you can get killed or terrible treatment/torture no matter who or what you are. I'd say sometimes you have to sacrifice a few to save the many.

Limited resources leads to war. The Qun has no solution for this.

Qun was created by some dude named Koslun. According to DA wiki, he was a kossith.

Yes, yes, let's have the opportunity to commit genocide in a video game!

As if this world isn't effed up enough already, we have a person asking for an opportunity to wipe a group of people out. I understand the OP's intention; let's focus on another people group and leave the dalish alone...but this is still a request for genocide. Fictional context aside, it's a sick request. Like asking for more options to rape or torture in a game....

I'd rather see more options to peacefully resolve things using other skills such as stealth, persuasion, etc. Sometimes games like this rely on too many conflicts to turn into battles.
