That image is not supposed to be the Inquisitor. You, the player, are the Inquisitor, hence the sword (or helmet, depending on the artwork) is being handed to you.

Then who is wearing those rings?

Maybe you're handing it to yourself.

It's going to be all spiritual or something. The person looking back at you is you.

Oh. But during the pre alpha testing the Inquisitor had a hood on, the same one this Inquisitor has on. Is it just a Inquisition thing? But it is still cool.

I saw the rings the first time I saw the Dragon Age Inquisition promotional image. The rings puzzled me as I read on. The Chantry like ring and the templar ring would make sense if this were the old Inquisition that later founded the Templar and Seekers of Truth order. But since this is a new Inquisition, not apart of the Chantry, this doesn't make sense. My guess is that the one that looks similar to a cross would be the new Inquisition motif, but the red ruby might represent power? Chaos? I don't know.

The cross looking ring actually represents the seal of the Circle of Magi. That same image is found the Wiki article about the Circle.

Well if that's not the Inquisitor and the Red Ring looks like Red Lyrium then who ever it is most likely will not be our friend. Maybe a traitor to the cause?

The rings interested and of course the possible red lyrium ring. My first thought though was more of the dragon on the sword and helmet. As the World of Thedas says several times, one of the main features of Tevinter architecture and other things is dragons. Cause of course Tevinter use to worship dragons. So my first thoughts on the sword and helmet is Tevinter. Also I wonder if the red glowing ring could also be Tevinter.

The Circle of Magi has one too many symbols and motifs. So that means that the red ruby ring must be the Inquisition ring?
