ME(4) probably to be released in 2015. Would it make sense for BioWare/EA to at least provide one more "Surprise" DLC in a few months to.....

What are you talking about?  Don't you like it when you install a dlc, it doesn't work, you uninstall the dlc and it formats your hard drive?  Anyone remember sierra utilities?

You're so right though.  Balance changes can't be done by one person alone, or even updates, or new maps/characters, etc.

even existing stuff, like repeating weekend challenges... don't suppose any of you guys know what "regression tests" are...

Dude....lol....Id have such a hard time with you if you were my employee and constantly complaining about how much work it is to do your job. Development definitely takes work for sure. I have worked with devs long enough to respect it but you seem to be more bothered by thinking about the work involved in creating something.

I hope you have not lost your passion as dev work, in my opinion is another work of art. Dont lose your passion bud...your skill is a truly good thing and any time a dev has an opportunity to create something new or even enhance something it should be taken as something good. Having written/said that I do understand on projects though when you have a customer that is constantly requesting changes over and over (been there)....this though is not that case but I understand where you are coming from. Still....dont lose your passion. Believe me the first time I worked on a dev project and saw my designs come to life by a developer creating code I fell in love with the process that unites art and technology together. Youre an amazing integral part of it all. B)

The problem is that no one realises that sometimes, things come up in QA and when you report it the Devs are like, "Good job, but yaaaa, we're not going to fix that. Thanks".

being designer/developer, i take my pride and my love in creating a level or content etc. i love making it for people, knowing that they will enjoy it, that's what makes it so rewarding for doing all work. it's also fun to make something.

Which language do you develop in D#, E++, ForTran?

Regression testing, there you go:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regression_testing

Also, no, I would not pay for it, it would split the player base.

Last but not least, unfortunately it makes no sense from EA's point of view.

ps. voted yes, ofc.

Personally I've been working with vodka summer. Google's Mixer library is a life saver...

Won't happen. ME(4) will be in a completely different engine. Why would they put time/money into an engine they are no longer using? If anything, I would love to have a beta much like the ME3 mp beta. Even if it's just 2 maps (or was beta 1 map?) and 2 weapons of each class.. I'd play that for months upon months!

So.. I'd say.. ME(4) mp beta.. but anyway. What makes you think 2015 is when the next ME will be out? You got a source? Could be 2016 or 2017.. given the way the ending worked out with this one.. it wouldn't surprise me if they'd like the franchise to cool a bit before bringing in another installment, rather than keeping it going like they did from 1-2-3.

Because EA doesn't allow for Valve-like development time. Frostbite 3 already exists, DA3 is coming out next year. ME3 ME4will probably be in 2015.

Hey now

Eclipse hasn't crashed since Monday

Admittedly, I'm not sure I've done any real code since Monday.

Yep and my FPGA hasn't given me any synthesis errors when I tried to compile my code.   Granted I haven't compiled once today.

Quick deviation.

Wouldn't you be more of a "user" then say a "developer" ?

You are using the tools/SW other people developed?  Right?

I know almost nothing about software development but even I reckon you're full of it.

Cassandra when Dunvi and the other gamer/devs here talk/write about development they mean actually writing code that varies from C, C++, Java, PHP, Objective C, etc etc etc etc. I understand what you are trying to say in the sense of development but its something totally different than what Dunvi does. Dont be offended but when one states he/she is a developer on a video gaming forum it usually means someone who writes codes, inspects it, reviews it, does quality testing and other such similar work that pertain to projects and/or actions that require knowledge of a code language.

Thats all Dunvi and the others are saying. You develop levels but are more of a user. Dunvi and other devs here write the actual code and use tools that create the functionality and even the personalities of the way thigns operate in an operating system and software tools. Thats all. Its a different thing than what you mean though. Just clarifying so that the confusion doesnt lead to a thread lock because of constant interpretations and back and forths.

PHP is an abomination that should be thrown into a volcano. I refuse to acknowledge it as a programming language.
