ME(4) probably to be released in 2015. Would it make sense for BioWare/EA to at least provide one more "Surprise" DLC in a few months to.....

The big daddy of EA is coming out in the fall.
Battlefield 4. All else fails to compare. Both economically and critically.
They'll want gamers to play there game as there only MP game of choice, or main MP game of choice.
BF3 sold around 12 million copies. Analysts are saying that BF4 could possible do 20 million.
And you can bet your behind, that EA is listening as licking their money grubbing lips.

Out of curiosity have either of you two done any embedded systems work?
Not really, for me - I've got some friends who love hacking on embedded systems but I've never really had the opportunity to try.
I have done lots. Mainly ARM Cortex M3, A8, A11, Atmega128, PICC, Mx535 Freescale, Coldfire Freescale, embedded ARM cores on FPGAs (Nios and MicroBlaze).
But in the end I'm a hardware engineer. That is what I do best.

By not really do you mean that you have done a little bit? I'm mainly curious about how programming for an embedded system compares with other programming since as a MechE the only programming I've done outside of embedded systems is simulation / data analysis stuff, and the 100 level CS class I took my freshman year.
Big, big difference between embedded FW design and software design. FW is MUCH more hardware intensve. You'llbe using you scope and logic analyzera good deal. PM me and I can send you the titles of some good books.
you can evenget a small dev kit with IDE, etc for about $99 to practice on.

Um, since the devs are probably working on the next ME MP, can I vote for a downloadable multiplayer alpha build in early 2014 and a beta download in the fall of 2014?
Id vote for that too

Geez. Thats' far out there man. At least for me as Im in the US.
As to the diversion well that presumes that they had not thought of doing it in the first place. I am to the point that I just dont assume as Halo kind of proved me wrong on that note and they came out with a map editing tool. ME doesnt really need it but if the quality continues to increase in this game....it would be something great for the future. What my question was gearing towards was wondering if frostbite is the kind of engine that allows to create something like that easier as opposed to something like the engine used to create Halo's map editing tool. Just curious.
I don't think you understand the problems.
1) The Frostbite engine does not inherently support modding - to even consider it, they would have to find some way to allow the new maps to be integrated into the game, which from even a quick google doesn't seem to be at all simple (the engine seems to be focused on efficient compilation, not easy modularity).
2) EA/DICE isn't about to release the Frostbite source code, especially not through a sibling company and not themselves. This means Bioware would need to provide an interface for map maker users - you're basically asking them to make an entire extra piece of software. Even if they were considering diverting such a tools team (as Ghost rightly points out, you're looking at an entire new team), their license for the engine might not even allow such a thing.

That being said, the more realistic (i.e., least work and testing) additions would be new weapons or new kits (combinations of existing models, classes, abilities; not creating new ones). New maps are a lot of work. Design, testing, redesign, testing again, etc. would be a lot of work. I'm amazed and grateful as it is that there are actually that many MP maps.
From a developer's point of view I'd say that asking a software company that you would like more additions to their product (for free or not is not really important) after they have officially ended support (after a reasonable time, so ending support after 1 year may be debatable) is not insulting but a lack of understanding regarding the work involved. (That does not mean it's bad, since none of us understands other professions' work to a sufficient degree to judge that.)
And, since no software argument can exist without a car example: You wouldn't go to your car manufacturer and ask them if they could modify your 30 year old car for you - unless you're rich and willing to pay. And although I'd pay for a DLC, I don't think I'd pay as much as needed to make it profitable for them, but I can't say that with certainty, since I have no proficiency in business administration.
On a side note: It was bad timing that I started playing just after the final weekend challenge happened. I'll play the next ME MP asap.
Also, I should use less brackets in my sentences.

I'd like to see:
1- Hazard version for the remaining maps
2- New Characters...
3- expanding (partially) the existing maps, just like what BW did with FB White, it was good.
4- New Maps, but it's not a big deal.
5- more Salarians (Sentinel or Soldier= perfect)
Thanks INVADERONE.

But i guess this is not possible... I think, EA is not happy about results how many money gained from selling ME3, so they ask Bioware to shut down the support... Shame really...

They are still working on the next Dragon Age. I also wouldn't be completely pessemistic or completely optimistic. Just keep an open mind about it. Slight possbility but don't hold your breath at the same time.

They could use all the unused maps and cycle all the old weekly challenges
I'd personally want (but don't need) a custome map editor that we could make maps we would want (I know it would be hard to make a map creator but it would be awesome)

I can only guess... But Firebase Echo what mentioned in Ricoshot topic, was cuted from Reckoning for unkown reasons.
