ME(4) probably to be released in 2015. Would it make sense for BioWare/EA to at least provide one more "Surprise" DLC in a few months to.....

Bioware could just give the community an easy to use map creator and a way to publish new maps.
But they are still afraid of farming like back in the old days on White so this will not happen as long as some people still spend real money.

For the record, map editors aren't exactly easy to make; they take a lot of work to get a standalone one made that can be generally used. The BioWare guys explained it in older ME threads. Developing those tools isn't a 'put a couple guys on it for a week or two' type job; it's a ton of work.

Yeah any kind of coding work on creating a map creator would be a huge project for sure. Id think that would be a cool idea for future Mass Effect's though. It would keep the game going for a looooong time. At least it did for me on the previous Halo's. Most of my friends preferred to play custom games on custom maps as opposed to the usual public multiplayer although we did that a lot too.

Your mistakes:

1) "Just give" as though it already exists or would only take a couple of trivial hours of programming.
2) "Map creator" as though there's no legal or technical complications with a map creator and playing custom maps.
3) "Easy to use" as though layman ease of use isn't directly contradictory to ease of creation.

And people wonder why I get so frustrated about these topics.

Well, chances for a free map creator are as high as for a suprise DLC next year, right?

I doubt that a map creator would have any changes making it on any DLC for some time. Even for the next ME Franchise I think most likely it would be something in a distant future version of ME. It would be great though but definitely a lot of development work.

The reality is, in their minds, it's not worthwhile to dedicate their workforce and budget toward creating more content for ME3 multiplayer, all that would do is please a few people (those ME fans who are still playing the game, and there aren't that many of us lets face it). At this stage, they won't be investing any more time or money into this game. That just wouldn't fit their business model. It's more than just a game - it is a business, after all. As much as I would love to see it, I've kind of lost hope after reading through this thread :( Nevertheless, I still definitely would love to see more content, that's for sure.

Given that they've stopped supporting this game so early on, and that there's still a huge length of time before the next multiplayer....well, all I can say is that the next multiplayer sure as hell better deliver, there will be tremendously high expectations. As long as it delivers fully, then the wait will be worth it.

Totally understandtable. Thats why I wrote it the way I did as we all know there are new systems coming out and they are presently working on the next ME franchise.

The reason though I believe this thread is still open because of open discussion for the next ME franchise also. There are tweets, blogs and more on the devs asking for things that we would like to see on the next ME game. This is would also be a good place to drop a lot of that too in case they decide to gather bits and pieces from here for review. Its been kind of very clear in the history of ME3 multiplayer that the devs do read postings here as we have seen a lot of suggestions from the forums show up in the last DLC's etc. (e.g. Ex Cerberus Character, etc). So posting ides for the next ME franchise is also welcome.

Would be awesome.

Enemies: Maybe include some of those enemy types that only appear in SP?

Weapons: The freaking Chakram Launcher

Maps: More Hazards.

Hazard maps shouldn't be a big deal. Pretty much zero balancing and minimal man hours making them. But the fat lady has sung for this great game. We'll have to wait for ur next ME fix.

Yes absolutely. There are some very interesting ideas being posted on this thread, would be cool to see some of these implemented in the next game. Image IPB

Oh, and maybe some new Turian weapons, preferably something that has the recoil to justify having that passive (do they really need so much training to keep the muzzle down on the Phaeston?)

New Turian Weapons would be great. I kind of felt like this multiplayer could have had a TON of weapons based on the Alien race. They did do some of that but it could have been an Arsenal of weapons. I know that Salarians could have had more entries for sure even though we did get the Scorpion and the Venom. More weapons by race please.

More alien weapons and less weak early game weapons from SP. And Heavy Weapons.
That'll be great.

I'd prefer they spend dev time on making a sequel. Then again, Most of my ME3 complaints would be directed lo the writing team or a certain subset thereof, so maybe an MP DLC won't detract too much from future efforts.

I'd be wholeheartedly up for an ME4-Advent-Calendar of challenges, though.

This may be a bit far fetched, but if they could get rid of the RNG system with the new DLC that would be great. Since it's pretty much impossible for new people to get into multiplayer right now because of all the things there is to unlock.
I would prefer a system in which you purchase weapons/gear using credits (or real life currency). For example:
You want a Cerberus Harrier 1? That'll be 200000 credits. You want level 2? That'll be another 250000.
Sure, it leads to a lot of grinding, but nowhere near as tideous (excuse my English) as the current RNG system. It might also help sell the game better, as new players will have an easier time to get into it.
