For them, I would say Corypheus is behind all the shifty goings ons. Especially if he possessed Janeka. Which I always let him do. (Interesting choices rather than the 'right' choices, I say!)

I wasn't thinking of possession. I was thinking of a conspiracy, considering Mike Laidlaw's allusion to "conspiracies and dastardly deeds."

There's two more old gods.

And who's to say the others are really gone? Urthemiel can survive through the OGB, maybe some of the others did as well. Furthermore, if you complete the ritual at the shrine to Dumat in the Legacy DLC you receive something in return; perhaps Dumat is still around.

I assumed it'd be Morrigan.

The corrupted Justice spirit turned into Vengeance.
Maybe not as the big bad but I would really like if he came back as a villain.

It could be someone brand new. We have only visited Kirkwall and Ferelden, so its entirely possible that there are big bad evil people in the other nations. It will be interesting to see, thats for sure.

It would be waaay too easy and predictable to make it Morrigan or Flemeth...come on, Bioware is better than that! I cast my lot with the protagonist.

I'd have to go with a new antagonist myself.

I doubt they'd go for Morrigan since they want to try and keep her grey (though hopefully they can do that with the actual antagonist.)
I doubt they'd go for Flemeth since she seems to be the NPC the devs like to use to make the PC's feel vulnerable in a 'you can't beat this person' type of way.
They're obviously not going to go for the Chantry, mages, or any of those since they won't want to portray one side as the wrong side.
If I had to take a guess, the main antagonist will probably be a very powerful demon that has been hiding itself as a human and using events to let demons cross over into Thedas though obviously Flemeth also has at least a hand in the latter.

My bet is on either Morrigan, perhaps testing her Old-God child if she has one, or trying to force the people of Thedas into change if she doesn't.
Or Flemeth, she's definitely plotting something. I mean, nobody can go through such a huge make-over and NOT be planning something...
Or that new fancy dragon (Nicol Bolas' little brother?)

Morrigan, Morrigan's old-god child, and Flemeth involved in a power struggle.

I wonder if the new dragon is Morrigan's child? Since she got the soul from the last dragon, I would think there is some sype of connection.

I doubt a dragon is born the size of a human child.

True. Dragonlings are the size of deer. Morrigan must have been huge if the Old God Child was a dragon. And cranky.

I don't know who to suspect. Right now my biggest suspect is Flemeth but it seems to obvious. But I did read a Gameinformer article saying the both Morrigan and Flemeths stroy will be wrapped up in Inquisition so maybe it will be her.

As long as we have a strong main and antagonist and a good boss fight I will be happy. I hated how DA2 handled it.

Well, if I had to guess I say either Flemeth or Morrigan. Hard to tell which one though. I love both characters, but trying to find out which one is really on your side makes my head hurt.

Well, what's worse, an angry but still mortal mother dragon, or an ambitious she-witch who's got a kid with the soul of an ancient dragon in her gut?

Edit: Now that I think about it, what the heck does a soul determine in Dragon Age? Will the Old God Child be any different from a normal person? Do babies have souls?

I guess no one has seen a movie about demonology? Angel? Buffy?

How about science-fiction? Diana Troi getting pregnant by a tiny firefly sized alien?

Morrigan's child is an old 'god', right?
