Ooooh man, those shades.....
Now I am curious, do you actually play the games once they are finished? For fun?
Typically no. I played Mass Effect (because I didn't work on it) but I tried going through DAO, and once I hit Ostagar my will to keep going evaporated.
My copy of DA2 is still wrapped I think, actually.

I'd almost really want you to pull it out, now two years later, and fire it up. Give us your opinion after two years with a fresh set of eyes. I'd be very interested in what you would have to say.

Dual GTX 680s, Watercooling, PCI SSD, 16GB Ram... it's pretty robust. I don't foresee having to make any upgrades.

To an extremely tiny, miniscule degree, I think I can relate... I discovered a few years back that if you start modding a game before you finish it, you sort of plunder all its hidden treasures, thus rendering the whole story a bit moot. Oh Skyrim, how I regret violating you so...
So, there is a hidden downside to working on an epic video game...?!

Modded Skyrim can get unrelentingly boring.

That's just not true.
Ask any writer who worked on a piece for weeks, months or even years if they've picked it back up a decade later and felt they remembered the details around why they did every little decision or how everything played out. While some may retain that level of creative process, many would be hard pressed to come up with the details or their own mindset if it was a story world they hadn't engaged in since the story was finsihed.

so bad hm?
as for "what are you going to play on":
the PC - i don't have a console (and i don't plan on buying one, because the PC is superiour in every-way, even more if the speccs that circulate the net for the next-gen consoles are true (they are last gen-compared to a new PC IMHO...hell even mine (1,5 years old - with one newer part, the graphics card) can run those speccs into the ground easy without breaking a sweat!) and i don't like controllers, too (can't play with those - IMHO - clumsy things (mouse and keyboard are much more precise and therefore my "weapons" of choice))
so PC, no questions asked

PC. I don't own nor do I plan to own a gaming console, as I have no interest playing on a huge TV screen and I really, really, really dislike controllers. I haven't enjoyed using a controller for gaming since Tetris. I am extremely comfortable playing on my PC with mouse & keyboard. Plus, mods. (You know they're gonna happen, because even if there's no SDK for the game, there will probably be minor modded things.)
Bonus question: If you are going to play on pc, is your pc ready for it?
Yep. It should be ready right now, but if it turns out it isn't, it means it's time for a part to be upgraded anyway, and it will be. I've always kept my PC fairly up to date (not 'bleeding edge', but that's ok), and my husband's just as devoted to his, so we seldom fall behind.

I don't blame you one bit. It's probably impossible to play without remembering all the bugs and changes before release.Allan Schumacher wrote...

Yeah, i would say that my PC is up to it (unless they drastically pimp the engine - but then i will get new stuff...2 years is a good time to have a PC IMHO, if you don't have many other expensive hobbies that is and like to twiddle and fiddle with it anyway (building your own is way cheaper then buying a pre-made one, if you go for graphics and gaming-power instead of office hardware of course)) and i will get new parts start next year anyway (i want a second computer that is up to date so i can use my current gaming rig for cutting and rendering of videos)

I was lead to believe that importing would be difficult no matter what system you were on because of the engine change. Is this not correct?
