Apparently. It was also the same night that various others broke the forum with ********************** so the mods were probably already upset by the time he posted it.

Oh I agree there but IDK permaban for that? I would think a longggg ban would be justified though. I guess the mods can't let people toe the line on mature content or it could be misintrepreted that more mature content is acceptable.

All I know is that phantoms + dragoons hit squad w/ venom weilding BatSol goes like this:  Venom, inferno nade, balstic blades, venom, run, BB blows up.. and they have *all* just died in 4 quick moves and you are already ragdolling next little group.

Most of the positive comments about the Venom in this thread are akin too 'I like it' or 'it's fun'. Not many have said 'OMG iz teh bestest gun in da game'.

It doesn't really have synergy with most AoE abilities, since it's not buffing the damage and you don't need the stagger to help you hit the enemy with them.

It has stagger, but so does the Falcon, Krysae, and basically any projectile weapon. The Falcon would have performed just as well in that situation and had you not been able to shoot at the ground it would have performed better.

The Venom isn't garbage, but if people are going to make claims of it being as amazing as it is then shouldn't it be amazing regardless of the setup for the most part, and not be so easily replacable by an average weapon?

The specific thing I was replying to was talking about how they can nuke spawns really quickly with it =P

So, in order to be good, a weapon should synergize with every kit? The fact that you can replace the Harrier by the Phaeston on the GI and still perform nicely does not make it better than the former.
