Tbh the only ones I'm *really* curious about are Cole (as in Asunder) and Cullen. Not as LIs necessarily but I think there's a lot of potential for character development and backstory etc. And as NPCs I'd love to see Adrian from Asunder, I loved her.

I really, really want to have Cullen as a companion. Yes, I know, raving fangirls, blah blah. I'm not a little girl though and I don't rave. I just really love this character. He fascinates me, and I'd be extremely disappointed if he weren't a companion (especially after the survey leak, and all the other suggestions that he might be in the party.)
Lastly, I really want a qunari, one who has left the Qun. I was and still am intrigued by Maraas; I don't know why such a minor character struck me, but he did. It doesn't have to be Maraas though, just someone who's left the Qun. And preferably a qunari, because they are definitely different from simply an elf or human who was taken into the fold. I would want to romance this person, too, male or female, and perhaps be the first person (or rather have my PC be the first person) they ever fell in love with. (But also I think it would be interesting if they did have feelings for someone while part of the Qun, and this is why they left.)

I just can not grasp the Cole love.I have a strong affiliation for helpless young people. I want to take care of them... I'm a teacher in real life, and my students are generally about Cole's age (18-20). They are so sweet and earnest, even if they're not great students, and even if they come from the wrong side of the tracks. So basically my heart just goes out to Cole, and I want to see him settled and finally happy.
But Cole is a deranged zombie murderer. lol. I'm not trying to be too

That would make Cole pretty badass, imo. Although, in retrospect, that would make Cole super creepy/scary... He did seem to at least try and do good by Rhys, so it'll be interesting if he is made a companion, just to figure out what he is actually about. If douche Lambert is in DAI, I hope it's only so that I can lop his head off with my sword.

If I'd get my way every character would make a cameo at least, but I guess there are dreams that cannot be.

you are not alone in loving her, because she finally is a circle-mage (that for me at least) is not a simpering windbag (like Wynn's son (forgott his name as he was such a whimp IMHO)), a chantry lover (Wynne!), a maniac (Anders!) etc. but a mage that is honest in her oppinions (and not afraid of voicing them and fighting for them), the only other mage that's like that is Fiona IMHO (one of my most liked characters in DA), i mean the other mages only chose to fight at the end of "Asunder" because they didn't have any other (good!) choices left (surrendering to the templars is and was not an option you could consider good, with their crackdowns and them ignoring the divine and them abusing their authority (and abusing mages) and killing a lot of First-Enchanters (and prohibiting the mages from congregating and discussing things peacefully)!
so, yeah, i would love to see her (possibly get her on the team, too - to counter Vivienne (if she really is pro-chantry as some people suggest...not that I believe that, IMHO she is pro-mage, not pro-chantry!))
greetings LAX

As a companion, I'd like to see a male Kossith. Tal-Vasoth, obviously. All barbarian and maybe with a beard and a big axe. I'd romance him.

That mad hermit guy from Origins.
In my game, he bugged... after I got Zevran to reach into his special place, I left the area and then every time I passed through he would yell at me but not actually initiate combat, in true hermit guy spirit lol
OT: Another Sexy male elf, keep them coming please

But Cole is a deranged zombie murderer. lol. I'm not trying to be tooargumentative, but it's interesting how differently two people can read his character. I don't see him sweet and helpless at all. He's a cold blooded killer with more than one serious life issue.
I think he could be really interesting in a somewhat antagonistic role.
Let's say we visit Val Royeaux. maybe somone there, could be the city guard, could just be a "concerned citizen" tells us about someone whose been killing people while they sleep (City officials, Nobles, commoners, maybe even Templars) and asks for our help as the Inquisitor in finding, and either stopping the murderer, or assuming it's Templars he's been targeting let him continue in order to help the mages.
Just a thought.

If they don't make him a companion, that would actually be me ideal outcome. Gah I just want him in the game no matter how. But yeah he's not sweet at all I think and he has some serious issues and mental problems that he needs to sort out somehow. But what Bioware character doesn't have issues? And imo characters who are flawed in more than one way are more interesting as really well adjusted people, story wise.

Other then that I would like a character that explains a bit more about the old god worship or ancient tevinter.

Why hasn't anyone brought up Alf, yet?

Alf would be the greatest companion and LI ever added into a video game. I would bang the **** out of that son of a ****! Kittens would run and hide in terror as he leads his own personal crusade against them in the world of Thedas.

I wouldn't mind him as a companion/Ally, but I hope if we do see him they take the Antagonist route. Mainly because it would be interesting to see charactors we know as "Enemies" instead of always Allys, or small cameos(imo). Of course with Cole they have the luxury of writing him either way, and still have it make sense. Would also increase the likelyhood of having more really great fleshed out antagonists whom you can sympathize, maybe even agree with like Loghain.

-Morrigan (check, even if not a party member)
-Varric (check and in the party...good)
-Leliana (after DA2's ambiguous ending I really would like to see her again)
-All of the DA2 cast (Aveline, Fenris, Isabela, Sebastian, Bethany/Carver) save for Anders (unless you get to kill him if you haven't already) and Merrill (just don't care for her). Small cameos, but I'd love to at least hear news about what transpires depending on the choices you made for them in DA2. Maybe in Tevinter you fight a controlled Fenris if you gave him to Danarius, Isabela either turns hero (if Hawke befriended/romanced her) or rogue (small fight), that sort of thing.
-Alistair (if he lives, of course)
-Loghain (see Alistair)
Not Established/Unknown:
-A romanceable male human who is not whiny, angsty, or possesses the voice of Carth
-A male elven mage
-A female knight
-Female dwarf party member
That is all

all the love for cole fits into a simple math problem. girl+badboy=Love
...I enjoy Cole because he's a facinating concept/character who I'd like to see developed more now that he knows what he is. I don't get how he fits into the "all girls like badboys" concept at all, he's too mentally deranged, and not nearly broody enough.

They are the only companions from Awakening who haven't appeared in anything else.
It would be nice to find out their fates.
