I just faced off against Vasir and I wanted to see what would happen if I agreed to drop my thermal clips, even though the charm option was available to me. I didn't get any notice of paragon points being earned so I am wondering if picking the paragon response rather than the charm one cost me any morality points. (It did end up costing me all my heavy weapons ammo.

I would like to know if, when presented with a dialogue option where you can pick a charm option (i.e. blue, left side option) but instead you pick the paragon option (i.e. upper right option) you still gain morality points and whether it is the same number.
