I try not to think about the vanishing rock of Rannoch, same as I ignore the possible places Shepard hid that bottle of whiskey for Kaidan, or whether or not credits in the MEU is actual paper money that people can actually hand you, judging by the gestures they make when they pay up.

Coming to think of it, where does Shepard stash his/her helmet when he's not using it? I must dig deeper..

I've always wondered that. Like really, where does that helmet go? And how do?es the bombing on the Reaper on Rannoch appear so small but still come from dreadnaught cannons? And how were they able to grow an entire clone of Shepard, but were somehow unable to regrow any of his body tissues at a fast enough rate?

In ME1, when you enter the Peak 15 facility on Noveria, Shepard's helmet simply disappears right on the spot. They really should've gone with the retractable helmet concept, or simply had Shepard wake up in a bathtub after Leonardo DiCaprio dunks him/her to exit the dream.

respect what everyone else gets out of the game. not a lot to ask is it?

That old saying about respecting people's opinions unfortunately does not account for the fact that opinions can be flat out wrong.

Of course you are free to construct whatever fanfiction that maximises your enjoyment of the series, and if pretending that everything after Eden Prime was a dream makes you happiness then you can obviously do that... but you cannot claim that your fanfiction is true and that the literal interpretation is false which unfortunately is what every IT video out there is doing (what happened to respecting other people's opinions?)

At the end of the day, there is a very good reason why you see lots of conspiracy theories: humans are so good at detecting patterns that we'll see them even if there are none (e.g. Hearing "White Chirstmas" in white noise). Our world simply has become to complicated to be intuitively understood and we simply can't tell what' really there without at least a rudimentary grasp of hypothesis testing and statistics (which people like Clevernoob evidently lack - no, observations consistent with both the null hypothesis and the experimental hypothesis do not confirm your theory)

So when did your indoctrination start? Because LotSB hints at the Crucible.

I am not knocking anyone else's experience with the game I just pretend certain things did not happen or were not mentioned, like the crucible thing, or for example I just pretend Legion did not die to save his people he just united them and became their ultimate leader and Kasumi became an Agent for Liara just like Feron was, or Tela Vasir (I love her) did not die, and Jack did not have students and rejoined Shepard, etc.

I know these events are not really ingame but when I pretend they are it makes my overall experience with the series better. When I play Jacks mission I just pretend it is some random mission or when Liara hints at the crucible during LoTSB I just ingnore it. Shepard's indoctrination started whenever the IT said it did, that's fine with me.

And let's not even get into the brain melting question of "Why didn't Harbinger kill the Normandy when he has the chance?' I was told on very good authority that if you think about this too much it will melt your brain.

Well, I just say The Normandy was not his target, Shepard was. Harbinger new Shepard was heading to the beam on ground, everyone else heading to the beam had to be annihilated he wanted Shepard, The Normandy was leaving scene therefor it was irrelevant to him.

That's the way it was interpreted in my character's story anyway. Image IPB

because if he shot it down the explosion would blow everything around it (shep included) to kingdom come.  My question (and yes it is still relevant) is how it only took 5 seconds for the normandy to get to shepard and co - from the heat of battle?

The only thing l can come up with as far as why Shepard lives after getting blasted by the Reaper Death Ray that destroys whole ships. Harbinger was told to make sure Shepard was the only one to make it to the beam by the AI that controls the Reapers. I can NEVER understand why the Normandy was not blasted out of the sky and I am a pro-ender. Calm down Six......remember protect your brain......

I basically reimagined certain elements of the MASS EFFECT series that did not appeal to me and molded my Shepard's story how I wanted, Bioware created some amazing characters, I just want to give them a lot more than they had.

Another example of this would be Traynor and Kelly. In my Shepard's story Traynor was a green alliance soldier (rookie like Jenkins was) and Kelly Chambers rejoined The Normandy as the ships Yeoman.

I'd like to think that when Hackett ordered the remaining ships not guarding the Crucible to delay the reapers descending to the beam, the Normandy was among them.

It is on BSN. Many here can't stand dissenting or alternate opinions. In a way I'm glad the IT thread got locked and IT got banned from these forums. Many on BSN do not have the maturity level or ability to discourse in a critical and effective way enough for true investigatory theories of the narrative of Mass Effect. Shame. But it is, what it is.

Dissenting yes, stupid? No. The two are not synonymous.

unlike you.  Enjoy the fail train when you grow up.  So an opinion is stupid because it doesnt tie in with your failed ending logic?

Well that's nice. It doesn't matter though. IT has been tossed out by the writers themselves. Anything regarding IT to explain the endings is purely head-canon and nothing more.

Ok so do u think Shepard really died during that sequence and just dreamed he made it to the citadel? In my Shepard's story Harbinger regulated the strength of his beam in order to knock Shepard out longer enough to take control of his mind.

There are are stupid people I encounter sometimes, I'm replying to one right now. And you forgot the word synonymous, I know its big but it's important to know it.

The hint is pretty subtle. If you talk to Liara on the base after the mission is complete, she mentions all the stuff he knew about the Protheans, the Collectors, and that there might be something more that he was looking into.

Yup, and because of the "writers" the series going forward will suffer a slow agonizing death, you'll see, all we have to do is sit back, relax, and wait. Bioware is digging their own grave, fans just choose whether to purchase or not purchase no skin off our backs. It seems as though creativity went out the window during those ME3 production meetings.

Oh I am well aware of that conversation I just pretend it never happened in my Shepard's story and The Crucible never existed.

Well, ITers snoop into synthesis/control threads from time to time and give them a piece of their minds. No one remembers about respecting "opinions" then. :/
