all we seek is clarification. thats all we've ever wanted. yes we have vocal people on our side, but there are just as many vocal people who absolutely hate the ending and do not want to think past what they see... which is confusing.

Now I for one hope all of us can get in some way what we all want and deserve. clarification.

either way. and then move on at last.

Bad writing. Here's your clarification.

What's confusing about that? Thinking that you got a bad ending doesn't necessarily mean that you want to pretend that you got a different ending.

What exactly are you expecting? Bio will confirm IT in ME4? Or rule it out?

The former's highly unlikely, and why should Bio do the second? As long as you're using a flavor of IT (like IT-Con) that doesn't actually mean anything for ME4, why should Bio ever rule IT out?

IMO, I'm done with Shep's story and the reapers. I'm looking forward to ME4 with a new protagonist, new enemies, new ship, new story. I don't need clarification. Pick destroy to kill the reapers, control to control them, or synthesis to change the universe. Perhaps they could have done things differently throughout the series but it seems pretty clear to me. My Shep destroyed the reapers and is hanging out at his cool apartment with Kaidan. Now it's time for someone else to come along and I'm looking forward to that.

A crackpot theory is just as valid as a well thought out theory in as far as they are both theory.

Opinions are like ****s. Everyones got one.  Myself included.  Whether that turns out to be correct or not - well time will tell.  Will I be disappointed if it isnt correct?  err......nope.

It's just a game.

Oh dear.

So a crackpot theory like alien lizard men that disguise themselves as humans in positions of power that live among us is just as well thought out as the theory of relativity, gravitation, and evolution?

It's unfortunate that he highlights what ignorant people often do. "Its a Theory" the "Theory of Evolution" is still a theory, but it's been proven beyond all doubt by a mountain of eveidence. Dumb arse up there is conflating the scientific terminology and the common misconception.

My God, I didn't think I'd have to lower myself to explaining the English language. But, here I am.

I don't find you clarification particularly useful, and can't even tell if you are right or completely wrong so here's a textbook definition:

A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of knowledge that has been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experimentation.[1][2] Scientists create scientific theories from hypotheses that have been corroborated through the scientific method, then gather evidence to test their accuracy. As with all forms of scientific knowledge, scientific theories are inductive in nature and aim for predictive and explanatory force.[3][4]

Evolution is a theory BECAUSE it has been proven, not despite it. If it isn't proven - and IT isn't - you cannot call it a theory (it's a hypothesis)

That's just complete bat**** to believe that some old hermit living up in the mountains can construct some crackpot theory and that theory is as valid as evolution. Bull-****ing-****.

Although, it's probably b/c dork doesn't understand the difference between a scientific theory and an a regular theory.

But maybe not a scientific hypothesis, since I don't see how IT can be falsified.

It's certainly not a scientific hypothesis since obviously it doesn't have anything to do with science at all. ;)
And it can easily be falsified by the owner of the Mass Effect IP/author of the story saying so.

Except for, well, grammar. I wrote

If it isn't proven - and IT isn't - you cannot call it a theory (it's a hypothesis)

And stripping the verbose chatter it boils down to

If it isn't proven you cannot call it a theory (it's a hypothesis)

From context, that means that an unproven hypothesis is not a theory but just, well, an unproven hypothesis.

Just pointing out that the scientific subtype of hypothesis requires falsifiability. In other contexts you're OK without it, sure.

Though as pointed out above, IT is testable. All we have to do is kidnap some Bio staffers and interrogate them until they confirm or deny the hypothesis.

Because fishsticks, it's only a game maybe?

OK Fishtard, you do realise that it is a game dont you.  Or is your retard logic that it is 'real' still going to carry past eezo and mass relays and asari and krogan?  Maybe if your head wasnt stuck so far up your own arseole you were licking your own tonsils you might actually grasp that talking about a game and theory is just that, and theories about games are equally valid as they are just that....theories.

If you mix gaming and life and look in your mirror.  thats what you get.

and as far as understanding anything, good luck with that.  Enjoy your day.   I'd like to leave you with one thought, but I'm not sure you have anywhere to put it!

This doesn't make any sense. You point out that it's just a game which means.... that theories about it don't have to make sense? That you can just pile up the b.s. but we're big meanies if we call you on it because we shouldn't be taking your arguments seriously?

What's your point?
