Me not knowing that that i'm in the minortiy Tali wise, would be stupid. I'm aware everyone and their mother loves Tali. And politically correct easily applied to what I was saying, unless you have the need to be a elitest dictionary...which is your choice.

No, politically correct would apply if you had derisively called quarians "free-loading space gypsies," "interstellar scabs," "drifters," or something similar. Instead, you claimed they had chicken hands and feet, which is simply not an accurate descriptor.

Also, calling you Lambykins can't be questionable. It's your name. Mystranna said so.

Maybe you see her as more of a gypsie than a chicken,... whatever. In my context the word fit. And if it didn't the world wouldn't crumble. Politically, acurately, falsely, or whatever...I don't care about her so...whatever.

I'm highly amused at all this. I don't think there's much to be said, except for all the people going on about Tali's immune system. Quarians are only susceptible to Quarian diseases because the proteins that make up their body are much different from those of the majority of other races, the exception being Turians. But it would be an extremely rare Turian disease that mutated enough to infect a Quarian.

i just don't see inter species romances working Asari being the only exception simply from the way they reproduce

you have more in common with a Dung Beatle genetically than a turian or quarian

Yes, because the aliens in Mass Effect are really all that alien.

:P

They're no different from humans, save in looks.

I presume adoption also exists for a reason if you want kids.

Most of us aren't interested in having crazy half-alien, half-human babies with them. It's impossible. We get that. That doesn't stop us from wanting to romance them. Since, y'know, romance doesn't automatically equal "pls has my bbs."

Yeah, the "can't have kids" thing is a weak argument. Lots of people in the real world who can't have children will still fall in love. Heck, lots of people who are perfectly capable of having children may not want them, and will still seek out relationships. So a relationship doesn't have to be predicated on producing offspring.

I typically don't want kids from the women I have sex with. Maybe that's just me.

I just felt like Ashley was very one dimensional. And I didn't really take a liking to that one dimension. And Kaidan was Carth gone soft and probed. Liara was interesting, but I think it was more her culture that intrigued me, and not so much her personality(or lack of, I should say).

Not to say the character writing was lacking here, but it just happens none of the options were appealing to me. Where Garrus and Tali were.

And as for all the alien-ness and things being 'too alien:' I find in science fiction that a lot of the time alien races aren't very different than humans at all. See Liara (and admittedly Garrus, save the scaleyness). Its just nice to see races even slightly off of that beaten path, like Wrex and Tali(won't try to guess the names of their races). I say the alien-ness of aliens is highly underestimated in ME.

So just crank it up and gimme them romance options! Prs, prs. <3:alien:<3

Genetically yes Turians and Quarians posess Dextro-Amino Acid based DNA whereas humans are Levo-Amino based. However this wouldn't really prevent you from having a meaningful relationship with either a Turian or Quarian, they're still a sentient species with thoughts and feelings the same as any human. You'd just have to be careful to keeep your food separate in the fridge, it's like having a roomate with really bad food allergies.

EDIT: On the "can't have babies" thing, erm...adopt I guess.

The only inter species relationships I care about are with Asari, all this Tali and Garrus talk is making me sad, I want my Samara romance.
Not saying Tali and Garrus fans shouldn't get theirs, if so good for you guys but I'd really hate not being able to romance Samara in favor of Tali

Samara is married to her job. Which happens to be "Justice" I doubt she's interested in romance.

The same could be said for Batman if he was a new character we don't know that much about in an upcoming RPG. Talia al'Gul? Catwoman? Wonder Woman? Dude gets around, despite being married to JUSTICE.

Well it's certainly a documented fact that some people are really into tentacles.

Too much?

That explains the Asari then. Everything is sexier with tentacles Image IPB.

Batman is a comic book character. Comic book characters are portrayed inconsistently because they have many many different writers who all have an idea what the character should be. Apparently one of them thought sex and romance wasn't outside of Batman's purview. I doubt the Mass Effect writers think the same about Samara.

Pfft. The Asari are poseurs. Have you seen those statues of the Protheans? Hubba hubba! Image IPB

But seriously, a romance with Tali would be interesting. I just like her personality, and I can't WAIT to see what she says when you get Legion into the party. Image IPB

Ok, I see your point perfectly, and I agree to a certain degree, however I don't think we know so much about Samara to make absolutes, last time I read something about her backstory

SPOILER
She went through some traumatic event which drove her to become a Justicar
SPOILER

Since I'm pretty sure her side mission will most likely have to do with this, there's a chance she might come into terms with herself again and give Shepard a chance isn't it? I think it makes sense.:wizard:

Or that could be the entire reason for making her a "Justicar", to have a more drama infused romance.  Your not one of the writers so one assumption is no better than the next.

Personally I think she most likely is a LI, based on clothing, her personallity (My wishes are your code, etc) and the fact that it is the perfect setup for partaking of the forbidden fruit.  Really as a writer you'd be stupid to not go down that path as the "I can't because of my morals/beliefs/code" angle is gold in romance stories, always have been...
