I personally hope the story is different, longer and better. I did like to see new areas and locations. The locations I did like to see are Home-Worlds, Space Stations, Under Water Worlds and other locations. I personally did like to have a new threat, a new enemy that's different from the Reapers, Maybe from another Galaxy? The species of this galaxy depending from you actions in The Shepard Trilogy are United has One, One Central Galactic Government.
I did love to explore again and drive vehicles, have new hubs and worlds. I think character customization should be better and deport, being able to play other species in Singleplayer. They already have the Time, Tools, Designs and other things to make it happen, also The Games can be much bigger thanks to Next Gen Technology. I know that I be looking forward to both Mass Effect and Star Wars, Destiny and few other series on Next Gen.
What do you think Next Mass Effect story will be?

Better.
That is all i can hope for and I'm sure Bioware has learned from their mistakes, but no ones perfect after all....

You keep using the word "did" where is should be "would".
You make a lot of good points, the next gen technology will allow for a lot more content, more/bigger locations and hopefully better gameplay. I hope that bioware will go back to it's roots and produce an actual rpg where you can loot for weapons and gear like in the first game and customize your weapons, omni-tool, bioamp etc same goes for your squad.
Story wise there are endless stories they could create for the next game, whether it's post or pre reaper war but you should definately be able to play different races.

I know I would love to see new things and the game to be bigger. I'm sure that it will be. I know I be playing Next Mass Effect, Destiny, Cyberpunk 2077 and Battlefront 3 later. I can't wait for Next Gen. I hope, I'm sure that BioWare will take their time.

I'm thinking the main foe has to be the Leviathans, unless of course they cook up a new antagonist in the meantime. There was just so much implied in the conversation with the Levis that gave me the impression that they would not be satisfied to remain in their watery prison post reaper war.
My other point isn't really a story one, but I was playing XCom: EU the other day and thought that the tight turn based combat with cinematics could really work in a ME game. It would allow us to take 6 or more squaddies and really have the different characters abilities to shine, not just have them be fairly ineffectual supporters to the demi-god Shepard like they are in the standard cover shooter mechanics. I'll still play ME:N if the 3rd person combat remains, but I think the game could really benefit from a drastic switch to tactical turn based combat.

I really am hoping for post reaper. I want new stuff. Origin stories and such are boring.
But I want there to be references to the trilogy, and in a similar play style.

I hope for more (and better) politics. It's something that was done rather well in the Revelation novel but something we haven't really seen in the games a lot (and if so, it wasn't very believable).
This would work for a prequel as well as a post war sequel. A lot of intrigue and manoeuvring between the different factions in the ME universe. After all the unity and "we fight together" sentiments of ME3, it would be nice to show that the different species are in fact ... well, different and that they all have their own agendas.

I just want Mass Effect to be a Third Person Shooter, I'm not into Tactics or RTS type games, I admit I'm not good at those games. I like some though were you can control your character then having them do it for you. I want a interesting story and being able to explore and drive as well play different species. I really want to play the Asari, Female Turian and few others, maybe new species. That would be different and awesome. That what I hope and want.

I stopped reading after that.
It would be the worst possible thing to ever happen to Mass Effect. Worse than the original endings to ME3. In fact, I expect the rage at that announcement would dwarf the ending controversy.

The story's already great. The only issue people had with it is the end which did the same thing no matter what color you chose.
Honestly, I think it could be more of an open ended thing, but it'd be hard to implement open world skyrim-like stuff in a space RPS.
I imagine a chaotic galaxy with merc and outlaw groups on the rise. The Council's economy is shot, but then again - so is everyone elses. Hard to fund everything, and military will have to help with more law enforcement probably. businesses and corporations destroyed, there will be a LOT of empty worlds, and I mean that in the dramtic sense. There wont be too many colonies out there anymore.
The game would be nice if they focused on rebuilding efforts, rather than introducing a new threat to shoot down, like what they're doing with DragonAge, destroying the world over and over again with one thing right after the next. Like the demons right after the civil war right after the darkspawn invasion. It's such a cliche in games nowadays.

Not only that, BW nailed it with ME3's gameplay, they should focus on improving that system instead of making it a complete TPS.Han Shot First wrote...

Whatever it will be I hope they will get us invested in the "world" aswell as the characters and live it like in the Citadel dlc.

While it would be cool being able to play other races, I'm worried if it would compromise on the quality of the story. Typically when you're able to have 100% freedom on the creation of your character (Fallout, Skyrim, etc), the story isn't that great.
Like someone said, post-war, with references to the decisions made in the trilogy.

I don;t think you understood what I meant. I love how the gameplay and everything improved since Mass Effect 1, I loved the many weapons and choices. I want the game to be a TPS/RPG, That what I like not a RTS, Not a FPS or a Tactic game I want Mass Effect to remain the way it is a TPS/RPG. Mass Effect is a hybrid don;t forget, I don;t mind spin-off's and other games too but Mass Effect should remain the original format. Mass Effect was always a TPS with RPG Elements.

I think the next Mass Effect story will probably have a main threat that's a bit scaled down than that of the Reapers, what with the new hero having to deal with a threat that isn't all over the galaxy at once. I also think that some characters from the franchise may return, but at this point it's kind of hard to say who since we don't know where in time it will take place. I would also like to think that if it is a sequel, our choices would be carried over somehow from ME3 to impact what goes on in the next story. Only time will tell though.

Maybe have a much less grand core concept. You don't need to be a hero saving the universe you just need to be some sort of strong character. Realistically you could be anything from a cop on the Citadel, to a smuggler on Omega, to a Pirate. It would all work. They seemed to love Deus Ex so a smaller conspiracy based story within the ME universe may be something they look at.
