Their Origin character creation screen has four classes listed instead of three.
Probably an old build, when Spirit Healer was the "cleric" style class.

No, I think it's the mod "Dalish Mage" but it's been too long since I played it.LinksOcarina wrote...

But then, I want a shaved dwarf. They better let me have a beardless dwarf, or Varric will pay.renjility wrote...

I love playing as elves, but I also love beard on my character, so I'm in a strange predicament right now. Since beard could be the main reason for why I choose to play as human first. lol
Tsss, if you want to go for the beard, you should play a dwarf.

While it's true that most people play as humans, the number of those who play the game as elves and dwarves are by no mean insignificant. It's a feature that add immersion to the game and to the role-playing experience. While I often play as humans in my first playthrough in any game that allow race customization, that doesn't meant that I couldn't be happy for those that have the race customization back. Race customization could be part of what make Inquisition game great. You can't tell at this point.Ausstig wrote...

I was happy with a human pc.
I know what YOU will do, you bit*# and moan about it not being exactly what you want. Like the people who want Kossith player race.
So why waste the time and money on an attempt to recapture to feel of DA:O. And it won't it will not be the same and people will say it sucks for being a 'lesser' version of DA:O rather then it's own thing.
The DA:I have no faith in their own game.
That is why they will fail

Or it could detract from from the story, having it make less sense and taking some time/money away from inproving ALL of the game.

edit: one of them even admits that the game makes less sense as an Elf/Dwarf. So yeah

I liked the races in DA:O, but I didn't miss them, they were part of the story in the first game, it was a quick way to build the world. Here we already know the world, it smacks of 'perfect entry for new players' like they called ME3.
So forgive me for not being swept up in the knee-jerk 180, you enjoy it.

Ha. Everyone's so excited about being an Elf or a Dwarf. Meanwhile I'm sitting here thinking to myself "Is *anyone* happy to be just a human character?!" Ouch for being in the minority.
