Make sure DA:O is not running

Windows Button + R (opens Run)
Type services.msc
Find Dragon Age Origins - Content Updater

If it's not running:
Right Click it
select Start
Right Click again
select properties
Start Up Type: select Automatic
Start Dragon age
Log in
Enjoy

If it is running..
Not sure yet.

Hope this helps some of you!

The only issue here for me is that that it won't let me start the Content Updater for some reason. It says something in the lines of

"Dragon Age - Content Update on local computer started and stopped again. Certain services will automaticilly stop if they aren't being used by other services or programs."

I really don't understand what it even means. How can I solve this?

Does your Windows account has administrator rights?

Yeah, I am admin on this account. (And by this account, I obviously mean my PC Profile here) Just looked it up myself.

THE FINAL SOLUTION
(if you have Windows 7) IS:

<<<<< RUN the game.exe AS ADMINISTRATOR.  >>>>>

forget about all deleting folders, rename files and account issues

just execute the DRAGON AGE.exe as administrator and the irritating UNAUTHORIZED will be gone !!!
