Did the comics event happen if your save file allows it to (ie: King Alistair, Sten alive, Arishok killed)? If hypothetically we see Alistair or Isabela again with Varric in my party, is it possible that they'll refer to their adventures spent together?
Basically, is this like DA's rendition of Kai Leng in ME3?

Some events only happen if you follow Bioware's cannon like if you give the crown Alistair or spare Wynne. The books that happen before the game is cannon. The game may have stuffs from the book, but they will introduce it as something new so that people don't have to read the books to understand the backstory.

The Comics are Biowares Canon, not yours. The stuff in the comic that is applicable to your import will most likely be present, but if you didn't choose Alistair to be king he wont be king in your game.
It is kind of like the whole Anderson thing, Bioware made him be on the council in the book but if you chose Udina instead there is no mention of Anderson doing anything of the sort.
