I was told that there are 50 squad points overall and that you would need 10 to max out any given power
Thinking of maxxing out pull, shockwave and charge then leaving out an ammo power but still wondering which one should I give up
If it's a good choice at all

I intend to have a very similar build. I would say leave out cryo and work on incendiary ammo. The shotgun is effective against shields and biotic barriers, but not as much against armor. Incendiary ammo is very effective against armor giving you all three. Cryo looks interesting, but it seems in practice is not as useful.
Then again we still havent played the game so who knows?

You are all discounting the possible bonus skill. I would recommend playing the game first and figuring it out as you go.
That said, at the moment it would seem that cryorounds is the least beneficient skill for the vanguard.

Looks absolutely amazing to freeze an enemy then charge at them with full force only to watch them go flying into the air and shatter though!

Personally stopped Adding Incidiery after I got Cryo. Squad Cryo Ammo is very powerful after knocking out an opponents Barriers/shields and armor.
