Hopfully this is the right forum for this and all but...
I need help with ambient behavior for npcs and creatures the wiki is not very clear (big suprise)
The wiki says " The second local variable is called AMBIENT_ANIM_PATTERN. This needs to be an integer that corresponds to an animation ID (first column) in ambient_ai.xls. Just open the spreadsheet, look up the animation you want your NPC to have (they have very descriptive labels), and put its ID into AMBIENT_ANIM_PATTERN. Note: the toolset has no way to show you ambient animations, you will only see these in-game."
Once again showing how it is very bad at helping people starting from the begining the tutorial mentions "The spreadsheet" as if that makes everything obvius. What spreadsheet? and how do I open it?
Second question. Is there a feedback for the wiki anywhere so people could fill in the blanks us newbies keep finding?
Ambient behavior?

The ambient._ai.xls can be found in the 2da folder in the installation path >> tools >> source >> 2da.
In this folder you can find other source files as well which can be edited and then converted into the gda format with the excelprocessor located in the folder tools>> ResouceBuild >> processors. That is the way to go if you want to add a new variation of an item, creature or whatever.
The wiki tutorials explaining how to add a new variation, e.g. a new weapon type, are bit more explicit.
But that is not where you have started. You are right, the wiki editor of this section, assumed too much.
Once there has been such a list you have asked for. When there have been a lot of active wiki editors from the community. Which have done a great job btw.
But since a long time the wiki editing activities tend to zero.
If you like to get more information on topics which are not covered or are not described sufficiently - the best way to cope with that is to continue to address your questions to the forums.

The Wiki definitely needs some improvement, especially for those new to the Toolset. If you do find gaps in the information provided you might want to start a "Toolset Wiki noob's missing info list" or similar name. Other newcomers can be encouraged to post there as well.
Those of us who are more experienced with the Toolset (and are still active) can eventually go through that list and update the Wiki as needed.
