Because they don't even give us manuals anymore. They should just be PSX/cd case sized.
Hell just give them to us in paper cases as far as I'm concerned at this point.
Next gens game cases should be smaller to save plastic.

I'm fine with that could lead to lower game prices

Jewel cases don't need to be so big anyway.

I like having big cases though; they look nice on my shelf.

I imagine there will be a rise in digital game sales.

Next gen game cases should have a more disc friendly center so it doesn't evemtually crack the disc from constant insertion and removal *cough*MassEffect3CollectorsEdition*Cough*

When i compare them to DS sized cases I don't see much a difference when it comes too looks other then the DVD size ones waste space.

Well obviously those of us who purchase collector edtions want big cases and extra goodies. But the way generic boxes are sold right now though, I just don't see the point. Especially how they supposedly save plastic be removing it from under the cd? I thought the whole point of this case was to protect my disk.

Haha. I guess you have the Xbox or PS3 version.
I bought the physical Collector's Edition as well, but I just registered the key to Origin and let it download the game instead.
Yup, I was too lazy to remove the disc and pop it into my DVD drive.
